WOMAN In 20s Seriously Injured Following Attack. Man Arrested At 12.03am in the early hours of this morning, police were called to reports of a woman being seriously assaulted by a man in the street in Barnsley Road, #Wakefield. Officers attended and the victim, a woman in her twenties, was taken to hospital by ambulance. She is continuing to receive treatment for injuries that are considered serious but are not believed to be life threatening. A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent in relation to the incident.
