@MForbes @TheRealJBx Sam’s has them for $5, and they’re huge! But when whole chickens are on sale I can get an even bigger one for $5 or $6 and bake it myself, with butter and herbs from my garden….it’s so good!

The House just voted against banning soda from SNAP. Why should the government fund your soda purchases? If SNAP recipients want to buy sugary drinks, they can do it on their own dime, not on the backs of a taxpayer-funded nutrition program.

I just called a source at DHS because I knew this headline made no sense. Sure enough, it’s total BS! Here’s the actual story: This woman entered our country illegally under the Biden admin. She CHOSE to illegally enter our country, CHOSE to bring her son with her, and CHOSE to commit a crime by resisting arrest.   She was asked if she wants to be removed with her son or if ICE should place him with a safe person who she designates. She chose to be separated from her child and place him in the custody of a guardian. ICE does not separate families. Every single one of these stories turns out to be a lie. @CommunityNotes

I used the household average because the head of household controls the SNAP usage for all members. They can sell their family members’ portion if they want.

The only store in my town has limited fresh non-processed foods, so I drive 45 miles to a good store. And the cooking classes too! But that’s going to take years to change behavior. It’s really easy to cook like your mom, hard to change.

Junk is purchased way too often to be healthy.
