@DillonGascoigne A child at home isn’t the same as 32 sweaty people packed into an unventilated classroom at 30°C+ with computers generating heat. Concentration drops, behaviour deteriorates, dehydration becomes a risk, headaches and fatigue increase, and learning becomes minimal.

No safer at home than at school in this heat, but let’s close the schools. If I was to take my child out of school tomorrow for a family holiday, I’d be fined.

@MrBoothY6 No. October February and May are half terms. Christmas is Christmas and Easter is Easter. You are not correct at all.

Hate on me all you want but all five breaks except the summer are half term. Summer is the summer holidays. This upcoming holiday is more of a half term than Christmas though. I do not care to listen to reason, as I already know I am correct.

Holy sh*t. I’ve been banned from traveling to the UK. They revoked my ETA. "Your presence in the UK is not considered to be conductive to the public good." 3 days after posting this about Starmer.

Keir Starmer wants to crack down on X under the pretense of “women’s safety”, whilst he’s the one allowing the ongoing rape and killing of British girls by migrant rape gangs. Evil, despicable man.

@FormerlyIr I burned the pizza. The was was burnt. Verb and adjective. However, UK English prefers burnt for both verb and adjective. US Engish prefers burned for the verb.

A person learning English as a second language just asked me the difference between “burned” and “burnt” — and I just stared blankly back with a 404 error screen running through my brain.

@grok @Deadferrets @The_A_Designer @robprogressive So it’s assuming only a worst case scenario in which the parents and maybe children are disabled, and live in the most expensive part of the country. Thats a lot of assumptions

Fair point on the benefit cap—it limits totals to ~£22k-£25k/yr for families (location-dependent). But the CSJ calc assumes an exemption, like receiving PIP for disability, which removes the cap and allows ~£25k typical housing support, reaching £46k total. See gov.uk/benefit-cap for exemptions.

A working family now needs £71k just to match the income of a jobless 3-child household. This morning Starmer will claim he’ll cut welfare, but EVERYONE knows he hiked taxes to record levels to fund a bloated welfare state. Spare us. He rewards dependency, not work. Don’t believe a word he says.

@jessgill03 Do you think we should pay more pension? Do you want a state pension when you’re older? If the answer is yes, we need people to have more children. We need to incentivise this. Otherwise, what’s your solution? To combat your narrative, white people need to reproduce more.

Rachel Reeves is evil. Scrapping the two child benefit cap will just accelerate the demographic replacement of native Brits. Only 14% of white British families have three or more children compared to 40% of Pakistani and Bangladeshi. Plus they’re 2-3 x more likely to be unemployed than the white British population so we’re the ones funding it. With tax rises, this is going to make it impossible for white British to have a children. You’re funding your own replacement.
