Great to see IChemE members Nilay Shah and @QileiSong at @ImperialChemEng supporting the efforts in sourcing and developing respirator equipment. #COVID19 #chemengtogether👍
Imperial ChemEng@ImperialChemEng

Dr @QileiSong has been leading efforts to source and develop respirator equipment to protect surgeons @ImperialNHS while they operate on coronavirus patients. The team has so far sourced 100 respirator sets for ICU ear, nose and throat surgical teams 👏👏👏imperial.ac.uk/news/197496/ad…

@golfrefugees If they both can be chemically recycled, then probably. But we are a bit far away from that

#DyeHistory : The beautiful color purple, Mauveine, or simply #Mauve, was the first synthetic dye to be discovered accidentally by William Henry Perkin in 1856 while he was attempting to create a cure for #malaria! How cool is that? 😍😈

From the people who brought you #WhatsInMyClothes only stating the percentage of cotton, polyester, just doesn't cut it. It was devised to go way beyond this. To list all of the processes and their associated chemicals used to produce final garments.

@LizziePaton @em_chan @thecarbontrust This figure is insanely crazy. 58 years of electricity for one week event that will happen, every year!!? How long will it take for the industry to do such events in a smarter way, or cancel them till they figure it out! But this gigantic CO2 number shouldn't fly by easily.
