@ask_aubry Even going further back to Shakespeare’s time - the average for women marrying was 24. The preferred age range for women marrying would be 17-21. Keeping in mind that it was easier on a household budget to get that girl out of there asap, even still, 13-16 was not the range.

@ask_aubry I was curious & knew this dude was really wrong. Henry Ford’s mom was 24 when she had him and Einstein’s mom was 21. The average age of marriage for women during the Industrial Age, when a lot of amazing inventions were taking place, was 26. It varied, but not to the 13-16 range.
