Funny story. In 2021 I was staying with my friend in St. Petersburg for Super Bowl week. On Super Bowl Sunday I was driving back to my parents house on the East coast of Florida and the route had me go over this bridge. I had decided that it wasn’t worth the $5,000 ticket to go to the Super Bowl. I deliberated all morning whether the content for @snapbacksports was worth it and ultimately decided against it. As I drove over the bridge though I got insane FOMO. What if the Brady/Mahomes Super Bowl was the greatest game ever?? I called the ticket broker and decided to spend $5,000 which was half of my bank account at the time …it was the worst game ever BUT As I was watching the final few minutes of the blowout, I knew (from being a degenerate) that the Gatorade dump was coming. I filmed it and thought nothing of it. Until my phone started blowing up “What color was it???” “Why’d they not show it???” When Bruce Arians got Gatorade dumped on him, the TV broadcast had cut to Mahomes on the bench. So I tweeted the video with the caption: “Gatorade was blue” 12M+ views later, my video became the verified source for gambling twitter. So what are the lessons learned: #1 You have to be places to get lucky. I’ve attended 100s of sporting events in my life, many without the ultra viral moment but I could’ve never gotten lucky without being in the stadium #2 Authenticity wins! It’s no wonder we’ve built our company on Snapback Experiences. It’s what we love to do. Get to sporting events and see what they’re like. I’ve been doing this for 8 years and our North Star (find the #1 sports experience in the world) comes from an authentic place
