Had this happen a few times to me over the last 25 yrs. The MO is they then setup your email account to get massively spammed so that you won't notice the email that comes in asking you to confirm the payment method change. Then they withdraw to the new method. Sounds like this guy wanted to take a shot at a bigger payout than what you had available. I think BM should be able to easily prove via IP and login info that it wasn't you and then refund the losses (since the losses went to them). However, offshore, they are judge, jury, and executioner, so I'm not optimistic.

Had my @bookmaker_eu account hacked. Drained 99% of the balance in the casino. BM took 11 days to "investigate" and told me to go kick rocks and I'm beat for the money So that's been exciting

@PlusEVAnalytics @bet_bash @AmWager You're giving two seminars?!? How much longer until you just start @PlusEV_Bash? Seriously though, knowing in 2026 about how everyone is going to be betting on sports in 2029 is probably worth most attendees time.

If you look at the @bet_bash seminar schedule, in the first time slot there is a talk by @AmWager on parimutuel sports betting. I met AMW at last year's bet bash and since then we've worked together on a few things (another networking success story!) so when I saw this topic on the schedule my eyes lit up. I've successfully weaselled my way into their group, and I will be participating in this presentation alongside some senior people at AMWager. A lot of what we'll be talking about is in the conceptual phase (a lot of regulatory and tech work still to be done) but we'll be exploring the pros and, yes, the cons of the parimutuel system in sports betting. NEW from me: Kalshi says it’s not a sports gambling app. Since the World Cup started, it’s taken in $40 billion in sports bets, 10 times more than what DraftKings and FanDuel are expected to see. Kalshi ran a digital ad campaign across YouTube, FB and Snapchat encouraging people to switch to Kalshi from sportsbooks. I calculated that state-licensed sports betting apps contribute about $4 billion a year in state taxes, which go toward schools, roads, problem gambling programs. Kalshi, which is regulated by the Trump administration, doesn’t pay these taxes. A gaming scholar put it to me this way: "If I were just some guy in a smokey back room of a bar doing what Kalshi and Polymarket are doing, I'd be in jail." npr.org/2026/07/17/nx-…

@3rdPlanetChris @nyknicks Worth pointing out that since it's tickets written minus tickets cashed, there's going to be more futures wagers cashed in June than written. NJ sportsbooks likely won on the NBA over the season (& the playoffs), they just had to pay out a local-biased futures market in June.

Anyone else have a significant other who doesn't like having games on TV in the background, because it's too stressful for her? If she sees what the bet is, she's going to be stressed until it settles, and that makes me feel shitty putting her through that.

Remember that in 2018, Florida voters unanimous backed a referendum that requires any change to gambling laws to require a super-majority (60%) of Florida voters. They wanted control. Problem was, the previous wording was 50%. The Seminoles hoodwinked them into making an unbreakable law as getting 60% of Floridians to agree on anything is impossible. Disney & Seminoles teamed up and spent $44m to fool the people.

Before everyone loses their sh!t over this, remember that FanDuel & DraftKings spend $35 MILLION combined and FAILED to get even a sports betting referendum on the Florida ballott in 2022. This money guarantees nothing but jobs for lobbyists.
