@kristinaennis @JohnRiche It really didn’t make sense. How does seeing a logo on a terrible soccer team make you want to migrate to that place? Either it was a personal favour behind closed doors deal or someone watched Welcome to Wrexham too often.

Not sure if you know this @kristinaennis and @JohnRiche but @BarrowAFC got relegated to non league football today which was a fitting end to the terrible idea by Gerry Byrne and the former government's sponsorship partnership with English football.

@TimWhelan6 @kristinaennis It’s false that Furey bought a soccer team but, that soccer team is doing so poorly that it is being relegated to non professional status. No TV games. Meaning only people that will see the NL logo are the 400 or so fans that show up at the game next year.

@kristinaennis For sure but the sponsorship was 171 thousand vs 21 million. A slight margin that the taxpayers are on the hook for. Both were poor decisions.

Coady took me to Stone Ducky for dinner.We had the BBQ platter. It came with the most tender brisket & ribs, chicken wings with bake apple bbq sauce (there are also other options), fries, coleslaw & the best deep fried chicken I have ever had.All this for $50 it was amazing.
