Scott Coker, the former head of Strikeforce and Bellator MMA, has secured $60 million for a new MMA venture, according to a press release Thursday.

@JoeMassocco @espnmma strikeforce was a direct ufc competitior and they bought them out. that is a major success. coker took over bellator, he didn't start it, then it was sold. another success. coker is the 2nd best north american mma promoter ever.

Maybe you should look into why he sold them… strikeforce was getting too big for him and his investors to afford so they sold it and cashed out, Bellator and pretty much the same with Bellator where they got bumped around by different networks and was getting tough to afford financially. Coker is great if you wanna build then sell in a few years, otherwise he’s a horrible choice for any fight league looking to make a lasting mark.

If you're going to trash talk, you can never EVER say it was just a sell a fight. You can say maybe I went over the line but you can't under any circumstances say you were just selling the fight. It's stealing from the fans. It's fraud. As told to me by @ChaelSonnen probably circa 2010.

I love what RAF is doing but I don't get this
Arman is clearly a star for RAF but he's getting squash matches that aren't going to be competitive at all. This guy got blanked by Georgio Poullas, who Arman beat twice.
