In Nolan's film, Helen is portrayed with brutal scars on her cheeks, implied to be the result of abuse by her husband Menelaus.
But Homer's actual text directly contradicts this. In Book 15 of The Odyssey Helen is described as καλλιπαρηοσ, literally "beautiful-cheeked", when Telemachus visits her and her husband in Sparta. Precisely the scene Nolan was attempting to portray here.
Nolan has attempted to butcher (almost literally here) and insult Helen and the Greeks and so many classicists have been his willing henchmen, even to the point of spreading lies to try and launder his bastardization of Homer's epic, and doing so pro bono.

Πριν λίγο καιρό ο Κούλης μιλούσε για την ανάγκη να αφομοιώσει η χώρα Σουδανούς. Σήμερα η Δόμνα παρουσίαζε τον αφανισμό της ελληνικής οικογένειας.
