been thinking a lot about agentic payments & where the earliest use cases land. one that I keep coming back to...music ticket sales. the experience is broken by design...refresh a drop page at 10am, fight a queue, win or lose in 90 seconds.
an agent doesn't get frustrated. doesn't misclick. doesn't lose wifi at 10:01am. it sits in the queue & executes the moment inventory opens.
but the more interesting layer is upstream of that. if a user can pin favorite artists or venues, an agent can sit in the background, track announcements across platforms, & execute automatically when something relevant surfaces.
the user stops showing up. they just set the terms.

Not to be dramatic but the new Model Y is the best thing I've ever bought. It's such a different experience from any other car I've owned, no idea how anyone could go back once they try.
From a first time Tesla owner, here are my thoughts after owning for 2 months.
First, you don't need a key, the whole thing is on your phone. The car has an entire security system that stays on all of the time, so robberies basically never happen. If you look at the stats, Teslas are much statistically less likely to get broken into.
The car fully drives itself, I can't overstate how insane it is. You literally get in, click where you want to go and it takes you there and parks. This also has the added benefit of being able to talk to friends that you have in the car while you go somewhere, eat while you're driving, and actually focus on phone calls when you get them.
I drove a truck before this and I genuinely think that the Tesla has more space, and usable compartments for storage as long as you're not hauling massive items.
The ride quality is so nice, and the new insulation is simply insane, you can barely hear any road noise whatsoever.
I don't have to go to a gas station, the thing plugs in my garage and is at 100% every day ready to drive.
10/10 cannot recommend enough.

it's IRL.
as ai compresses the cost of every digital experience toward zero, the ones that can't be digitized don't just survive…they become the premium. presence, in-person, real human interaction. the rarer it gets, the more it's worth.
the outlier companies that will disproportionately outperform aren't the ones removing humans from the equation. they're the ones adding them back. events, physical spaces, services that require a real person in the room, experiences that don't scale by design.
the valuable asset becomes whatever ai can't follow.

@shortsqueeznews @grok is this true? I believe EQX started going downhill when they replaced kiehl's with grown alchemist...this might be the catalyst needed for the gym to have a turnaround

@aseidman @FreeBandito Understand rewards are different eg. Driving areas unmapped = higher rewards and vise versa. Curious what is the avg length one has to drive to break even on paying for the actual hardware of the Bee around current price levels

my bee is incredibly unprofitable
hivemapper is a cool company
but unless you drive full time
just know you will not be making any $$$

Chamath: Work-life balance is the worst thing happened to young people.
"The first and most important thing is you have to be on Broadway."
"If you're into politics, you need to be in Washington D.C. If you want to be in finance, you need to get to New York or London. If you want to be in crypto, you probably need to be in Abu Dhabi. If you want to be in tech, you just need to be in Silicon Valley."
"There is no shortcut for any of these decisions. You have to be where the fish are."
"The number of young people I encounter who talk about all of these idiotic things like work-life balance. I don't even understand what that means."
Remote work is convenient. Being where it happens is how you win.
