💡Solve for the next 2-3 years only 💡win your research market before thinking about clinical - no matter how attractive clinical seems 💡IVD is a big deal. If your customers aren’t doing LDTs on your test you’re being premature

Many young life science firms pitch their assay with IVD potential I wonder how much of this is to show a great TAM for valuation If the technology is good, there’s still enough research $ to sustain amazing growth for a few years

@eColi_virus I think the problem is boards have not been willing to sell at all even a very strong offers. $NTRA will go bankrupt it had too much debt. $PSNL I think could easily do an all stock deal with $LH at a 300-400MM valuation including cash.

@Bullshark_2012 Maybe, isn’t a liquid MRD pretty technically easy these days, but horribly expensive to commercialize? When do they start suing each other? Or when does Natera sue them….? I still get saddened that the state of the art is 16 custom qPCRs….

@Bullshark_2012 Yup agreed. I don’t think boards will accept an offer even at 2-3x multiples to their depressed market caps…not sure what the alternatives are… …bankruptcy, private reboot, recap, go public again?

@eColi_virus Sorry my response might have been confusing. The group you listed I don’t see as executing mergers amongst themselves, but seem them as acquisitions targets for $LH and $EXAS $DGX recently acquired start up Haystack for 450MM net of cash!

@Bullshark_2012 The group I mentioned? If not, no one else can scalably generate and interpret cWES and cWGS. But maybe that’s the point, the economics are just bad?

@eColi_virus $LH is going and $EXAS maybe $NTRA can acquire - there is no consolidation among this group in my view.

@eColi_virus Maybe “innovation” isn’t the right term. Path labs innovate plenty, with decreasing reimbursements over time vs increasing testing. But I agree with what you mean (in a germline disease diagnostics market)

Innovation. Clinical credibility. Sustainable P&L. Pick two? Sadly that’s the industry. 💩 📦 We can do better.
