@SweViver At least the Pimax 8k is going to be sold soon to very high end consumers...i think...but without foveated rendering, you'll need a beefy machine. Preferably a new Turing gpu
It's funny how people are comparing Star VR to Pimax 8K and now claim "Pimax is dead" 😂It's like comparing your brand new Audi to your rich neighbors' special edition Ferrari. You can't afford it, and even IF you could, you still need to wait in queue a few years to buy it... 😉
When 3 out of 4 Vive controllers stops tracking.. 😂 This would probably cost me around 400 Euro to repair using HTC Vive customer service. No way José! Don't get fooled people. Buy a screw driver kit for 10 bucks instead 😉 @htcvive#HTCVive#Vive#VR#HTCViveSupport#repair
@gekido Hey Mike! We're developing a VR shooter with unity
called @TitanArena. We just announced it and love to spread the word about it as much as we can. We'll be putting up some gameplay gifs in the coming days.
Many VR game devs are making the mistake of building the game they think people want, which means their creative space is limited by users whose expectations are most heavily informed by non-VR game design. VR needs creatives with their own vision who are able to take big risks.
@farty@jacksondahl Yeah, theoretically you could just normally use a joystick and move around, but some people get sick from that, and you cant shoot people who are teleporting, right?
Prediction: we will see a demo of Fortnite VR before 2020.
Epic:
- owns unreal engine, is sure to be looking for new ways to show it off
- has already added support for most platforms
- has shown a willingness to be creative w/ new promotions, ideas, innovations with Fortnite
Can anyone recommend a site / service for tracking how many ppl are posting YouTube videos or Twitch streams on a given topic over time? YouTube analytics is great for your own channel but I want to see stats related to posts / views for a given key word in the ecosystem at large
Sad we see such boring weaponry in most VR shooters. Something like the Plasma Cutter from Dead Space would be incredibly fun because of the ability to physically hold it horizontally or vertically. Not to mention it’s configurability.
