Thought I was more nervous for the first day of patients (June 23), but then we filled out tax documents and now my worst fear of intern year is getting audited by the IRS 🤷🏼♀️ not sure if that’s a win or a loss for the day…

Sure, medical school wasn’t easy, but it’s also been a joy with so many incredible people getting me across the finish line. Most of the credit goes to my family, friends, and communities that got me here— Flint, Grand Rapids, and Baltimore. Proud to be a Spartan MD 💚

@MSUDrEJ Thanks Dr. EJ!! Several hours later, I'm much perkier-- they'll attend online and my partner was able to book a last-minute flight here. And I'll always have my fellow Flintstones :) Just wish we could've avoided COVID a little longer!

My mom has COVID, and what makes a very solitary graduation weekend sting a little more is having to convince my family that I really don’t mind being alone for my biggest accomplishment so they quarantine properly.

I get to be a pediatrician at Children’s National in DC in July!!! Everything I dreamed and wished and worked for, and I’m still in a bit of happy shock that I get to train at my number one pick ❤️ can’t wait to be the doctor to all the future astronauts and rock stars of DC!!!
