I took a very long road to loving this one but I'm glad it exists now—I truly did need some of these songs, just a few years later than expected. also justice for "The Bluest Things on Earth," the best song on the record and the one nobody seems to like enough

i was expecting my dad to defend cops or complain about the riots etc. but he is really starting to see the racism that’s still plaguing our country. i never thought i’d see this day

i was talking to my dad for the first time since George Floyd’s murder. the first thing he said to me was that the officer that killed Floyd should rot in prison for the rest of his life. i know y’all don’t know my dad, but this is a HUGE step for real change. #BlackLivesMattter
