@TheFoxMatriarch We got lice during the height of the pandemic! Brush olive oil in your hair (cover with a shower cap) and let it sit for at least 8 hours, longer if possible, and you should be good.

We just did the shampoo and combing. Olivers and AJs were quick, effective and easy, mine took an hour and half and I'm nervous I didn't get them all. Retreat in 7 days I'm going to go to a lice clinic for me if we can't get them but it costs 300 so... Hopefully I won't need to

@VictoriaTheTech We had an IEP meeting for him and the first grade teacher said so he’s really a kindergarten to which I responded. No, your first graders are really second graders. How can he be successful? If everyone assumes he should have been redshirted?

My day begins with a conversation about redshirting. If you’re not familiar with the term, it’s when families hold a child back in school by choice. This is becoming a problem in a lot of areas. Parents are intentionally holding their kids back for a multitude of reasons. 1/

@VictoriaTheTech We did not redshirt our son, but moved into a district where many parents did and that’s caused a lot of issues around his age. I wish districts would put an end date on age so that kids are much closer to the same age in the kindergarten class.

@eacox24 Thanks! Yes an MNPS student can ride for free but not the parent. Her child is an elementary student. Also I wish our school district gave specific funding to schools for badges. I just did a poll to all my fellow former MNPS middle contacts & multiple said their students 1/

This is one of MY WHYs for advocating for the Transportation plan. My neighbors often ask for bus passes. This particular neighbor left one MDHA property b/c of conflict to go to another & wants her child to stay at the original school. ALL of Nashville will benefit from this!!
