While on board a Carnival cruise ship, a 45-year-old nurse from California downed 14 shots of tequila in under 9 hours at the bar.
She blacked out, fell down the stairs, and woke up in a staff-only area.
Rather than brush it off as “one too many” she sued Carnival for overserving her.
A Miami jury agreed - finding Carnival 60% at fault. She has now been awarded $300,000 in compensation.

Toby Keith (1961–2024) rose from oil rig worker and bar gigs to country legend with 33 #1 hits and his own label.
Nothing says American pride like “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” 🇺🇸
Toby didn’t just sing it—he proved it—with 18 USO tours, performing for over 250,000 troops across 17–18 countries, from Iraq/Afghanistan FOBs to ships at sea.
I remember listening to this song on my way home from work almost daily when my husband was active-duty USAF, working long hours. We were stationed at a very remote Army post in California. This song inspired me to keep going.
The troops also loved Toby for showing up in war zones and remote spots, performing this song to massive cheers 🔥
True patriot forever. 🔥

America has a delusion when it comes to Youth Sports. We think we have a master plan but in reality we are creating a future mess! In basketball more kids at a younger age are specializing in only basketball. Kids play way too many games! Kids are playing over a 100 games a year(more than NBA). We are treating youth sports like professional sports. The fun is being taken out of it and we are doing way too much!! I think the outcome is
Skill development decreasing
Kids getting burned out
More injuries from too many games and specialization
Not a good long-term plan imo

Youth sports are now year-round, driven by club revenue, not the kids' best interests. Be cautious of over-involvement; balance is key. A kid can excel in basketball in 5 months with the right program. #YouthSports #Balance
