Really impressive automatic feeding system at Glen South Farm in Cork for the open day today. 1500 head going through the shed/year with bullocks averaging 1.7kg LWG/day and heifers 1.5kg. Vector goes by the pens every 40 mins and measures and pushes feed or feeds out.
Up at an open day in Tyrone today with over 730 cows being milked on 14 robots. Average performance is 38.5 litres/cow currently. No meal fed at the feed barrier, all fed in the robots and through the Lely Cosmix out of parlour feeder.
