TODAY MARKS A HISTORIC CHAPTER IN MY JOURNEY-MY ADMISSION TO THE BAR AS AN ADVOCATE OF THE HIGH COURT OF KENYA. Growing up in the slums of Nyalenda, I noticed with deep concern the constant harassment and humiliation of ordinary Kenyans in the brutal hands of law enforcement agencies most of the time without a clue of what their constitutional rights were. My mother got arrested severally and instead of being arraigned in court would be beaten up by police to pay a bribe from her meagre chang’aa sales proceeds. This has pushed me over the years to study and appreciate the laws of Kenya and their role in safeguarding justice, both procedural and substantive. This achievement is not about personal grandiosity. It is about sharpening the tools of service. The law is now a new battlefield where I will fight even harder for justice, equity, and the rights of the common mwananchi. The Government should brace itself for more lethal arguments in defense of Kenyans—both in Parliament and now in court. Expect legal action aimed at lowering the cost of living, creating jobs, and holding systems accountable. The revolution continues—now with a gown and a gavel. So, help me, God.

This day two years ago I dared to do something I had been postponing for years - largely due to finances & self doubt. I posted about the launch of @Coffee_254 together with my birthday, hoping people would focus on the birthday message & not the launch - I was freaking out that day! One day I’ll tell you how I had to buy more cups since the half dozen cups & spoons weren’t enough. I’ll tell you how the tiny restaurant filled up within hours, people were literally parking by the roadside. I’ll tell you how I had ONE employee, the interior designer team had to wash dishes as I served clients their Coffee. Exactly two years down the line, God has been faithful! We’ve expanded to three branches (Thogoto, Ngong & Westlands.) We’re grateful to all our clients who believed in this dream. For extending grace when we fell short of their expectations. We promise to continue improving. I pray for you & your families that you’ll prosper, and that the hand of God be with you today & forever. Oooh, it’s my birthday today so I’ll be throwing some discounts hapa kule to fellow birthday mates & clients coming all day today. Damn that was a long post 😩

The event brought together vibrant youth delegates from Mali, Burundi, Niger, DRC, and South Sudan to reflect on the role of young people in democracy, civic participation, and nation-building. I firmly believe that entrepreneurial skills and economic empowerment—initiatives we continue to support through the Youth Fund and other financial inclusion platforms—are vital pillars of sustainable democracy. I am also confident that the National Youth Council (NYC) can serve as a powerful springboard for advancing social democracy among our youth. For God and Country! #RuthlessFocus
