Martin Short says his daughter Katherine's death has been a "nightmare" for him and his family: “But the understanding [is] that mental health and cancer, like my wife’s, are both diseases, and sometimes with diseases they are terminal. And my daughter fought for a long time with extreme mental health, borderline personality disorder, other things, and did the best she couldn’t until she couldn’t.” variety.com/2026/tv/news/m…

@ItalianFiesta The real documentary is the 50-part doc on Nature Boy by Hood Horrors on YouTube. It includes this scene. I’m on part 41 and it’s just as good as whatever series they got on Netflix rn. I knew basically nothing about him before I started watching it. youtu.be/tzL9tEWdAwA

In 1989, Prime People magazine interviewed eight young Nigerians born into wealth about what it felt like to work for their fathers. Here’s how the "yuppies of the silver spoon" responded.

@resiniee @gbennylola Im not anti veganism btw! I think veganism is dope & admire ppl making decisions for themselves but it doesn’t address the main issue. Being vegan is an individual solution the problem is large companies being profit driven & creating abhorrent conditions in food production

@resiniee @gbennylola all food under an industrial food system is inhumane. The fishing industry is literally worse than the meat industry cause they kidnap people from developing countries to work on fishing vessels for slave wages in abhorrent conditions. It’s an entire industrial food system issue

@Brieyonce Listen.....! I listen to a podcast where a woman kept getting pregnant but all of her children passed away shortly after birth. More than five children. It took them years to catch on until a neighbor spoke up and said "I think she's killing those kids."

I think that woman on tiktok who refused chemo for her child until CPS stepped in actually wants her child to die so she can receive sympathy for it.

British colonial authorities in Northern Nigeria recognized Islamic law as "native law" for its perceived universality, but saw it as subordinate to British control. Officials like Lugard valued it for order but viewed it as inferior & useful only under European rule.

@woqutuwok @Jb51014 And climate change & are needing to travel farther south for water and land that can be farmed, at the same time their elites continue to make deals with large companies to acquire their already dwindling arable land they used to be able to depend on for grazing 3/

@woqutuwok @Jb51014 The lines are just blurred and we’re fighting indirect rulers *cough* traitors *cough* that now also have the backing of the nations we’re also a part of & corporations that have taken the position of the colonial empires 5/

@woqutuwok @Jb51014 Colonial forces and later oil companies. The post-colonial governments in many African countries are basically just carbon copies of the colonial system. So the practice of indirect rule and exploitation still prevail it doesn’t take away from their indigenous status 4/
