It is dialogue & the patience to build trust. Governments can sign treaties, but we need societies to build trust.  Civil society can build human connections that treaties can’t create. 🇦🇲🇧🇪Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan spoke at the opening of the Civil Society Summit of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum @eapcsf in #Brussels. In his speech, the Minister touched upon three main areas: 🔹Peace in the region, 🔹Armenia-EU Partnership, 🔹Democracy and sustainability.

Georgians want a European future. Yet disinformation & lies about Europe are promoted by those in power. Opposition are jailed. Media & civil society silenced. This must stop. We condemn all repression & urge Georgian authorities to engage in dialogue with their own citizens.

Last night, Russia launched one of the largest drone and missile strikes on Ukraine, targeting government buildings and civilian homes alike. Once again, the Kremlin is mocking diplomacy, trampling international law and killing indiscriminately. Europe stands, and will continue to stand, fully behind Ukraine. We are reinforcing Ukraine’s armed forces, building lasting security guarantees, and tightening sanctions to increase pressure on Russia. The killing must end.

While the world seeks a path to peace, Russia responds with missiles. The overnight attack on Kyiv shows a deliberate choice to escalate and mock the peace efforts. Russia must stop the killing and negotiate.

The EU Delegation in Kyiv was damaged by today’s Russian strikes on civilian areas. I strongly condemn these brutal attacks, a clear sign that Russia rejects peace & chooses terror. Our full solidarity goes to EU staff, their families, & all Ukrainians enduring this aggression.

Moldova is not alone — our friends stand with us, our voice is heard, our future is European.
