🇲🇩 Parliament Speaker @Igor_Grosu_md met with 🇲🇩 friends within @Europarl_EN @negrescuvictor & @nicustefanuta, EP Vice-presidents, @SMuresan & @DanBarnaUSR, PAC Chair & Deputy Chair, @eugen_tomac & @CristianTerhes, MEPs. Next steps in the accession process were discussed.

🇲🇩 Parliament President @Igor_Grosu_md had important discussions with @ManfredWeber @EPP, @IratxeGarper @TheProgressives; @ValerieHayer @RenewEurope, @TerryReintke & @BasEickhout @GreensEFA that reconfirmed the strong political support for the 🇲🇩’s European path.

MoU of @Parliament_RM & @Europarl_EN on common framework of supporting democracy signed by Speaker @Igor_Grosu_md & Roberta Metsola @EP_President. Strengthened ways of interparliamentary cooperation and institutional capacity building were renewed.

The EU has deployed emergency assistance from 🇷🇴 & 🇱🇺 via its Civil Protection Mechanism in response to the petroleum contamination of Nistru river in Moldova. We are now mobilising our own #rescEU reserves to send specialised protective equipment to the 🇲🇩 first responders.

Great news from Brussels: Moldova will receive the 2nd disbursement from the Growth Plan - €189 mln - following the successful implementation of 24 reforms. Moldova is delivering on its commitments on the path to the EU. We’re working to bring tangible results for our citizens.

Very good meeting with Commissioner @MartaKosEU. We discussed Moldova’s steady progress on its EU path. Thanks to the reforms delivered, the 2nd tranche of €189 million from the Growth Plan has been disbursed today to support projects that improve the lives of Moldovans.

Good meeting with @BasEickhout, @TerryReintke and @nicustefanuta of @GreensEFA to discuss Moldova’s priorities in the EU accession process. I also informed them about the oil spill in the Nistru River following Russia’s attack on Ukraine’s hydropower and its impact on citizens.

Pleased to meet @ValerieHayer and @eugen_tomac of @RenewEurope to discuss Moldova’s EU path and the steps needed to sustain the pace of our accession process. We count on strong friends and clear support as we move forward.

Welcome the first draft of the European Parliament Report on Moldova, presented in the Foreign Affairs Committee (AFET) by the Rapporteur @SvenMikser. Large support for the 🇲🇩’s efforts in implementing the reform were highlighter by majority of the European Parliament members.
