It says a lot about z Starmer’s failed “smash the gangs”when the bbc does more than the British government.

@FBAwayDays Middlesbrough have to sell 35 thousand tickets for a game that might succumb to Sotons appeal. The Soton fans will have a refund then will have to buy the tickets back.
The authorities took much too long to make a decision now they seem to be able to act quickly.
What a farce.

@DSymonds__ @EFL_Comms Your club is at fault. It is not win at any cost. I really feel for the fans. Hope you have a great season next year. The appeal will fail, they are not going to admit that they are wrong.
English

@EFL_Comms FUCKING PISS TAKE YOUR COMMISSION IS A FUCKING JOKE
ALL SOUTHAMPTON FANS WITH TICKETS SHOULD FUCKING STORM WEMBLEY AND MAKE SURE THAT GAME DOESNT GO AHEAD ITS A FUCKING DISGRACE CHEATING OR NOT YOU CANT KICK US OUT OF A FINAL OVER THAT BULLOCKS #SAINTSFC

An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training.
In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table.
The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. The final remains scheduled for Saturday 23 May, with the kick-off time to be confirmed.

@AndyMcDonaldMP @EFL Guess the Soton mp doesn’t agree with you. Amazing how being aligned makes you take a firm biased view.
English

There are many reasons to support Andy. I’m supporting him because he stood up for a cause close to my heart. On homelessness, he has done more than most not through slogans, but through consistent action when it mattered. #thankyou

English

@AndyBurnhamGM @WWJFC So what do you actually do to help? Didn’t know you could lay turf?
English

Great to be back at Winstanley FC @WWJFC with three generations of the Rotherham family.
Helped a few years ago with the new astro and now ready to lend my full support to the building of a new clubhouse - whether I am elected or not!

English

Delighted @AndyBurnhamGM has been selected for Makerfield.
He’s one of us and coming back to fight for the borough he calls home.
English

You were an MP from 2001-2017 and then Manchester Mayor, Andy.
If you haven't changed it in the 25 years you've already had in politics, why would anyone believe you now?
You're actually part of the problem.
You're part of a generation of politicians who think they know better and will do anything they can to get elected and then just do whatever they want.
Andy Burnham@AndyBurnhamGM
Politics isn’t working for places like ours. I will change that. #AndyBurnham #ForUs

@BladeoftheS I wasn’t on £30 a week in 1970.
But paid a mortgage and supported a wife and baby.
English

Poverty is caused by billionaires in the UK the minimum wage would have to be about £30 an hour for you to be as well off in 2026 as you were in 1970.
All that is being stolen by the bilionaires.

@AWilsonmhealth Nope. I do not want to sit near some drunken lout or loutess. Things are fine just as they are thanks.
English

Can we not allow fans to drink beer in their seats at football matches?
We've enough on with fans drunk, rocking up late, going to the toilet, coke, disturbing everyone and, frankly, can't be trusted not to ruin it
We have a huge drink issue in the UK
#alcohol #football
Football Away Days@FBAwayDays
Officials in The Football League want the alcohol ban lifted at stadiums so fans can drink beer in their seats. Would you welcome it? 🤔🍻
English

@MrLukeGeorge Between £40- £90 what’s £50bn between friends. Good estimate, not. The Uk handed over that much to the EU annually years ago. Goodness knows how much they would be fleecing us by now.
English

Brexit is costing the UK between £40bn-£90bn per annum! Far higher than any budget contributions!

@AdamDandy @AndyBurnhamGM Most politicians do actually care about people. It’s just that most care about themselves a bit more.
English

I am not Labour, I am not Tory or Reform, Lib or Green. I have always voted for the best candidate locally whatever their 🔴🔵. But I have to say that I genuinely feel that @AndyBurnhamGM is FINALLY a chance for us all to have the North West represented properly.
When I saw him stood in front of the KOP and he actually stopped talking and listened to the crowd that day and how he went on to fight for justice for the 97 I knew he was different. He just seems like a genuine bloke and actually seems to care about ppl, of all walks of life and genuinely seems to care about helping people who are homeless too.
So I really hope the people in the #makerfieldbyelection use what will be their most powerful vote in generations, and make him their 🗳️ and ultimately get the PM as their very own MP in return.
English

@martindvz I think most of us feel the same.
General election now. The public have already spoken.
English

@TomK_Brit1993 They’re all useless. Liars and cheats. They will all waste your hard earned money, taxing and borrowing is all they know. Any fool can spend other people’s money. Have already seen enough of Burnham to know he will make things worse.
General election now.

@King0243_PJC Burnham blames failed politics for leaving places like Ashton behind. Is he including the 13 years of New Labour govt in that? The years he served as mayor?
He's more relatable than Starmer, but that's not hard. Cut through the spin and he's just offering more tax and spend.
English
John Laughlin retweetledi

@King0243_PJC He can talk much better than Starmer however policy wise what’s the difference … what are his views on women’s rights, EU … changed his mind again in that or has he? Wasted millions of tax payers money, Man City council in debt, homeless, grooming gangs, illegal migration
