Another thing you have to keep in mind about a true cycle ending blow off top is that just as the rise gets increasingly aggressive until the peak so do the corrections that occur on the way there. Most don’t make it to the top because they get shaken out somewhere along the way. Which is also one of the reasons price goes parabolic- a combo of people selling “early” because they can’t stomach the volatility on the way up just to fomo back in higher as price recovers from each nasty correction and moves back up even MORE aggressively and general greed and euphoria from others due to the “unprecedented” rapid price appreciation. “It’s so over” becomes “it’s a new paradigm” as people view every move down and every move up through an emotional lens instead of one based on any actual, consistent framework with which to evaluate the markets. And that continues until the most aggressive rate of price appreciation in the shortest amount of time sets a peak and it all comes crashing down just as fast as it went up.
