An amendment to repeal NY's electric school bus mandate was rejected this week. Law requiring districts stop buying diesel in 27' and stop using diesel by 2035, stands. Districts can get 2 two-year extensions to the purchasing part of mandate which many have already applied for.

Trump tried to stop solar and wind in the US 🇺🇸. He failed spectacularly. 99,2% of new net capacity in America in 2026 is expected to be renewables, with battery capacity. If this happens solar, wind, hydro and other renewables will be equal to natural gas as the biggest source of electricity in the US. Far ahead of coal or any other source. Solar capacity grew 34% last year. Battery storage added 50%. Coal production declined substantially. All renewables combined are now 26% of US electricity. And what state is leading the charge?? Texas - a deep Republican state. So much for Trump. He can speak and act against renewables. He can not uninvent solar panels or wind blades. I am disappointed by today’s decision to deny Rafael’s habeas petition. This is a deeply unjust outcome.
Rafael has had legal authorization to live and work in the United States and did everything he was asked to maintain good standing. He should be home while his immigration case proceeds, rather than suffering a prolonged detention.
We will continue to pursue every legal and advocacy pathway available to secure his release.

Two men, who both pleaded guilty to R*PING a 15yo boy and making child p*rn, received DIFFERENT sentences from two different judges.
Eric Bergstrom was sentenced to 30-50 years by Judge Derek Vaughn.
Judge Rich McGowan then took over the case and sentenced co-defendant Bradley Perry to ONLY 3 YEARS for the SAME CRIME.
When Judge McGowan was questioned on his decision, he stated, "I am the law."
How is this justice???

This item is on the Rochester City Council agenda for Tuesday. It's a formal vote to add more local funds to a total $13.2 million state project to build 22 "affordable" homes in Upper Falls. That works out to just over $600,000 each.
