A decaying Nation Crying for Leadership.
What we have witnessed across our country in just the past 48 hours is not only tragic, it is utterly unacceptable and a damning indictment of our collective failure of leadership.
From the reported killings in Katsina, Adamawa, Kaduna and Benue States, to the gruesome murder of an entire family in Plateau State, and the heartbreaking abduction of innocent children in Kogi State, one of the incidents involves children conveying their mother's dead body for burial. Nigeria is bleeding. We are fast becoming a nation where human life is treated as expendable, where citizens live in fear, and where the basic duty of government, to protect lives and property, is repeatedly neglected.
11 innocent Nigerians were killed in Katsina State. 7 more in Benue State. 23 in Adamawa State in just one day. An entire family was brutally murdered in Plateau State. 24 children were abducted from an orphanage in Kogi State, and 10 more children were taken in Kaduna State, all within 48 hours.
These are not mere statistics; they are our fellow Nigerians, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, whose lives have been brutally cut short or violently disrupted.
This cannot continue. A nation cannot develop under the weight of such persistent insecurity and human tragedy. The normalisation of these horrors is itself a crisis. We must ask, with all sense of urgency and responsibility: where is the leadership? Where is the coordination, the competence, and the compassion required to confront this menace decisively?
My heart goes out to all the grieving families across these states. I pray for divine comfort for those who have lost loved ones and for the safe and immediate return of all abducted children.
A New Nigeria is not just a slogan; it has become an urgent necessity.
A New Nigeria is Possible. -PO

It's really just about putting your money where your faiths is. I love God, I love the gospel, I love my local church. Therefore, I give willingly and cheerfully, partnering with my church for the work of ministry.
I mean, what's too much to give to God who gave me everything?

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE FIRST LADY OF NIGERIA
Your Excellencies, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the First Lady @SenRemiTinubu, @officialABAT @NGRPresident,
I write to you with utmost respect and a deep sense of urgency as a concerned student of Obafemi Awolowo University to draw your attention to the pressing challenges currently affecting students and academic life within the institution.
Last year, the First Lady donated CNG buses and electric motorcycles to the university. The students welcomed this in good faith, believing it would improve transportation and reduce the existing challenges on campus.
However, after the commissioning of these buses, the school management removed the previous transport system, including motorcycles and the commercial buses that students relied on daily.
Over 35,000 students are now dependent on a limited number of CNG buses and a few tricycles. This has led to long queues every morning and evening, overcrowded buses where four students are forced into spaces meant for three, and delays that affect lectures and academic activities.
Students now spend more to move around. Routes that were once direct have been broken into multiple stages, forcing students to pay more for less convenience. The ticket system that was introduced has also failed to remain consistent, with students paying multiple tickets for single trips.
Movement within campus has become stressful. Areas that were once easily accessible are now difficult to reach. What used to be a simple daily routine has become a burden.
The students consulted. The students engaged.
When nothing changed, the students, through the Students’ Union, declared a 72-hour lecture boycott to push for solutions. Despite this, the management maintained that the situation was only a “teething phase” and insisted the system would stabilise.
The problems persisted.
Frustration continued to build.
Eventually, the students took to peaceful protest, coming out en masse to express their displeasure and demand change.
Now, instead of addressing these concerns, the students are being asked to vacate their hostels in the 5th week of the semester. This comes right after the protest, raising serious concerns about the timing and intention behind the decision.
Is this a response to student welfare or a move to disperse students and weaken their ability to organise?
This is a federal university. The students are citizens of this country. They deserve better.
Motorcycles are not a backward means of transportation. They are practical, flexible, and efficient, especially in a campus environment. Removing them without providing a truly effective alternative is not progress, it is regression.
The students are the largest stakeholders in this institution, yet their voices continue to be ignored.
We ask:
Are you aware of this situation?
Do you consider this acceptable?
And if not, what steps are you taking?
We call on the Federal Government and the Office of the First Lady to intervene and ensure that student welfare is not sacrificed.
The students are being oppressed and we ask you and the general public to come to our aid

Let me be clear, we have the time, resources and will to resist any attempt to victimize any student. We will go with you from court to court, and respond to petition with petition. If you arrest them, we will release them. Do the needful! @OAUniversity

Pewbeam is live 🎉
This was just a dream, a dream I didn’t even know was possible—but I decided to pursue it anyway. Today, that dream is now a reality. We have a desktop app (Windows and macOS—this weekend) that can do all of this and even more. Over the last six months, I’ve pushed myself and my team hard, and I’ve seen people become hopeful and genuinely blessed by this product. I’ve received strong support from pastors, church members, techies, and several media houses and reporters. It has been a great honor to spend myself on something worthwhile.
We’ve built an AI-native presentation app that displays relevant scriptures on screen in under 80 ms, without needing a volunteer. We’re starting with scriptures, but we’re growing into a comprehensive presentation software, with slides launching next month.
From testing @pewbeam_ai in churches over the last four weeks, pastors have been able to focus on what matters instead of juggling or micromanaging the media team while preaching. Church members have been able to follow their pastor’s references in real time and take better notes. In the words of a member from one of the test churches: “Pewbeam changed the way I follow sermons in church completely.” This is the kind of impact I see Pewbeam having on people’s faith and on how church and worship are done.
Pewbeam’s mission is to ensure the Church is not left behind in the AI era. We’re starting with this application, with many more to come in the next few months. We’ll keep working with stakeholders in the Christian faith, collect feedback, and build tools that better support discipleship. And unlike previous waves of technology, I believe we can be among the first movers in this AI revolution.
With all that said, the final build of the app is ready, and we’re launching for public download on February 25, 2026. The app has a generous free tier for small churches and fellowships, and a paid plan (location-based pricing) that unlocks unlimited access to all features.
If you’ve been following this journey, I appreciate you, and I assure you it will be worth it.
Please download, subscribe, and use in your church.

I want to build a bible presentation AI agent for church use. Imagine Bible verses coming up on screen as the Pastor preaches just based on what he’s talking about or his paraphrases and quotes. I want to build this completely in public, starting today. Thoughts?
