That timeline is simply unrealistic and impractical. By November, it won’t be surprising if millions of eligible voters are still unaware of the exercise. Even more concerning is the possibility that the process could be unevenly implemented — slowed down in regions where the opposition has stronger support — ultimately disenfranchising large numbers of voters. A proposal with such far-reaching implications demands serious scrutiny and should be firmly rejected in its current form.

Nigerians talk too much with no action. INEC is set to disenfranchise millions of voters before the 2027 polls, yet we're still just talking. Are we going to tweet and stay silent again? What's wrong with us? The Senate rejected e-transmission of results. Now INEC is heading the same way to rob our votes. Nigerians, what's really going on? We should already be mounting protests at INEC headquarters by now.
