ESPN Sources: Offensive Player of the Year and Super-Bowl champion Jaxon Smith-Njigba reached agreement with the Seattle Seahawks on a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension that now makes him the highest-paid WR in NFL history.  The deal averages $42.15 million per year, and includes over $120 million guaranteed, both setting records for any wide receiver. The deal was confirmed by @WINSportsGroup.

Just in: Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham has been diagnosed with a collapsed lung and is expected to miss an extended period of time, sources tell ESPN.

There is momentum for stakeholders to approve surveying what industry executives project will be bids in the $7-to-$10 billion range for each team.

The Colts are in trade discussions with multiple teams on Anthony Richardson, which could lead to a deal happening this weekend. The Buccaneers, Chiefs, Lions, Packers, Rams, and Ravens are among the teams who checked in. Richardson’s value is believed to be a late Day 3 pick.

Monken likes to use 11 personnel. That’s 3WRs. Of course they want to get one via trade as well as draft one in round one. It’s why they are also kicking the tires on ruggs. There will be more wrs on roster this yr than under Stef.

@ebiz42 That ruggs rumor was from a parody account I don’t doubt NFL teams do their homework on him and monitor the situation but wouldn’t really put much stock into that.

Ironic how fast that happened. My guess is ravens thought the $ for Trey was going to be high. The fact that he was still available end of day 2 meant the $ would be doable. One call to treys agent and next thing you know they back out of trade.
