We are grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to this important report and are pleased it recognises the issues all too common to our members - workloads are increasing and the need to balance service delivery with training opportunities is a difficult balance to get right. We are ready to be involved in Phase Two of the project when it launches in January and to make sure the needs of our members are represented throughout the process.

“The findings in the GMC’s annual workforce report will unfortunately come as no surprise to our members. The report highlights a growing crisis with many doctors (..) unable to access speciality training and more and more doctors leaving the health service. With growing gaps in the medical workforce and increasing issues with recruitment and retention, this situation is untenable” Our response 👉 buff.ly/jhcO2jp

It’s the time of year when we celebrate the amazing contributions made by trustees to charities. Thank you to our board of trustees for contributing their expertise to help with our governance, strategy, and decision-making. #TrusteesWeek Below, some of our trustees have shared why they volunteer for the Association.
