People will call you a racist for calling out when characters are adapted and dramatically changed. In most cases, now its race swaps.
The only thing that is actually racist is changing the character's race in the first place.

This wasn’t scrapped in response to test screenings (there were no test audiences). It was scrapped due to budget constraints. The skull prop was just for reference footage. The final death scene was a reshoot that was done in November 2006.

Power Rangers Turbo's "Spirit of the Woods" was written in July 1997, only a matter of weeks after the Megaranger episode it was based on had aired in Japan.
This is probably the fastest an episode has ever been adapted in the shows entire 30 year history.
