@freebsdfrau @CraigGenner Same here. Got this big fat SMC motherboard with 4x 10G and 4x 1G, some SSD in ZFS-stripe. Connected it up with 10G to the Datacenter and the ZFS file server. Sort of cheating. But I've never really like all the peanuts routers that providers give you.

@CraigGenner My "router" is a full-depth 1U rackmount with 12 cores, 8G of RAM, ZFS 2-way stripe-mirror offering 500G storage, and dual GbE interface hooked up to not one, but two 24-port gigabit switches -- I'm not playing fair. And I have another 32GB of RAM arriving today.

Who would be interested in learning how to setup Grafana on FreeBSD to get networking stats? I just set this up on my home router and now I know what everybody is doing all the time. I can build time-series graphs for almost any network condition, and I can show you how

@FreeBSDHelp Well, it depends what you want to run. Out of expecience I can assure you that this machine will run an ISP in the 1992's with FreeBSD 1.5. 16 modems, Usenet news, Email and small websites. With about a 1000 users. Ever since impressed with what FreeBSD can do.

@TUeindhoven Handigste oplossing is immersed coolling technology, see asperitas.com. En de eerste commerciele implementatie staat dan ook nog om de hoek in Hight Tech Eindhoven bij @ecoracksnl. Makkelijker kan haast niet.
