@Dankeychoo @fwmann1e ATLA stuck to that explanation where metal bending was clunky and jagged but metal benders in korra make the metal look fluid. Also in building they don’t intentionally have impurities they make alloys, very different. Also gold is easier to refine than platinum so idk

@ecst4ticglow @fwmann1e It’s more that platinum itself is a much easier to refine metal than most, and most metals used in things like building or construction purposefully still have impurities for structural integrity.
