Last year around this time, petrol was selling at 14.99 cedis per litre. Those who travelled to Tamale with VIP for the holiday or Christmas and New Year festivities paid 300 cedis as lorry fare. They cited fuel prices and cost of spare parts. This morning, petrol is sold at 12.99 cedis per litre at Shell. Spare parts dealers have reduced their wares. Yet those travelling from Accra to Tamale with the same VIP are still paying 300 cedis as fare. Sometimes the government in innocent in the hike of prices in the market

This was how a woman stopped for kids to cross the road and okada rider thought this his chance to do an overtaking only for him to scratch and remove the fender of the woman’s car. The woman came out, assessed her car and told the okada rider “yɛn kɔ Japan Motors” 😭😭😭

The app is #1 in GH for sports streaming — and has been for the last 33 months. We are the biggest category advertiser on our direct competitors' channels — and have been for the last 12 months. I don't need you or your faceless bots to teach me how to popularise it. FWGKW.

@garyalsmith Was this not an opportunity for you to popularize the said app and get more people on it? Go through the comment section and read for yourself. If I was your employer, you’d be job hunting after this post.

Last Sunday, we were driving past Kozo at Airport Residential in the evening and saw a lot of cars. My wife asked “People still go here?.” After a 20k Cedis meal for 8 people, I have learned to respect myself and avoid that place. One of the most beautiful things that Accra has evolved into, is the diversity of locations for leisure and their distribution. There is no need to start traveling to a specific location as we used to do in the past, there is always a good one near you. Event centers are also now everywhere, my wife's family even owns a massive one at Odorkor called Page Events Center. My wife and her brother even built another at Weija. Everyone in every community is served. This is a function of an expanding middle class that sees no need to cluster in a place because good infrastructure is also becoming evenly distributed. Accra still has a long way to go. I went to Lakeside earlier this year and couldn't believe all the bad roads I took to get there. It seems that places are abandoned until someone nearby gets a political position. There are also a lot of private initiatives and developments. Our estate is completely private and it has spurred copycat developments nearby. Progress will always bring more progress. A rising middle class lifts everyone up. I am still looking for what to sell to this middle class at scale. The level of growth is unbelievable. I missed out on Tse Ado property a couple of years ago and when I went there to see my brother-in-law, I knew I screwed up. Tse Ado opened up simply because of one road. More of those types of roads are now being built. Infrastructure is very important. With the level of infrastructure developments going on now, Accra in another 5-10 years will be something else. The roads going outside Accra are also being expanded. Enjoyment will also be distributed beyond Accra. I saw this sign below at Tema and I was laughing. They are taking advantage of the traffic build up because of the construction. Ghana will be greater. Enjoyment will be more.
