I see a lot of short oriented traders like @InvestorsLive who loves to predict the market instead of trading what's in front of them. this causes them to miss huge moves to the upside because they're more focused on being "right" or "smart". its nearly impossible to predict a top on any stock let alone the indices, and while topping is a process bottoming is an event, it makes it extra hard instead of buying the dip. because on longs or bottoms, you will know fairly quickly if you nailed it. but picking tops, it will grind you out and mentally exhaust you before the eventual decline. this is a reminder there is not much meat being short.

$AMZN $MSFT $TSLA all failing to hold gains. telling a lot about the overall market. but previous leaders are also making new ATHs, so i would be extremely cautious. if those leaders consolidate or pullback, indices will feel real pressure.

There’s always going to be another trade. When I identify a great setup + narrative on a stock but miss it I don’t care. If this happens to you it shouldn’t bother you either. Why? Because if anything it should give you confidence knowing you identified the setup + narrative correctly and know you’ll be able to do it again. The market is presenting new opportunities every single week. If you think back 3-6 months and try to remember the trade you “missed” back then you probably won’t even remember it. Become immune to fomo.

The dangerous part is that he’s telling people to go all in on bullshit like that when he’s not even all in. He’s sitting in a bunch of safe havens in his $11 million IRA account and telling everybody they should go all in in their portfolios He is also telling people that he made the $11 million by going all in on one stock which I’m now hearing from people who know him from a few years ago, saying that is not even true and that it’s all from him getting stock compensation when he worked at Google. Again, I don’t know if that’s true, but I wouldn’t doubt it. Is it true? @kevinxu

$BOT is still trading at 4x NAV. With a $2,000,000,000 effective ATM. Even after the 21% drop. So now it’s ~$600M MC, off $146M in private assets. Then off those assets, they own ~$37M of Figure. Which you’re essentially buying at $160B valuations while the leading humanoid maker in Unitree is IPOing at $6B. So just because a $146m private fund went public doesn’t mean there should be a multi-billion dollar retail wealth transfer? Maybe the fund had good intentions? But idk after the $2B equity financing facility, that move just seems predatory when there’s already a valuation NAV disconnect.

To be clear, our sale of $GOOG was not a bet against the company. We are very bullish long term on Alphabet. But at current valuations and in light of our finite capital base, we used $GOOG as a source of funds for $MSFT.
