Global alliance for Pumped Storage launched in Baku. At an inspiring meeting during COP29 Azerbaijan the International Hydropower Association (IHA) brought together governments from all continents and many organizations to showcase pumped storage as the battery of the world. When the sun is not shining or the wind is not blowing or at peak energy demand, we need batteries. Pumped storage and man made batteries will fill this void in the renewable energy chain. There are at least hundred thousand suitable sites for pumped storage globally. Dams can be fit beautifully into the terrain as the worlds largest battery (2,1 Giga watt) in Zhejiang, China (showcased in photo). Please join us in Paris in September 2025 for the Global Pumped Storage summit!

I am proud to be appointed champion of Global Renewables Alliance. Global Renewables Alliance serves as the umbrella organization for all the associations of renewables - solar, wind, hydro, long duration storage and more. Our aim is to triple the global renewable output. I cannot wait to work with Bruce Douglas and all the brilliant people working to supercharge the renewable revolution. There is so much promise, so much wisdom and so much dedication in this group. I hope to be able to bring best policy advice and to leverage my networks in India, China, Europe and beyond. We will work with political leaders, business, civil society, opinion leaders, activist. Please connect to share your ideas!

Suella Braverman says today that the prime minister’s attacks on racist views expressed by Reform candidates has less force because the party he leads - and she aspires to lead - kept Frank Hester’s millions. Quite extraordinary attack on the eve of polling day, in the Telegraph. She says “whatever the ‘smartest men in the room’ may privately think, the public are not in fact mugs”. Read attached

Jenrick tells Telegraph readers that "a right-wing common sense majority" is split between Conservatives and Reform, whose joint share is 36% on average, behind Labour alone on 44% while other centreleft parties have 16-18%. "Nobody" asked for Labour to win big, he claims
