@eddort_dev Looks awesome, what’s your tech stack and how’d you create the in game assets?

berilli shared a water simulation made using compute shaders, capable of interacting with terrain in real time. 🌊

@NicolasZu @threejs thanks! i’m actually working on that right now, but getting down to 50 draw calls is pretty difficult with this level of modularity, multiple light sources, and outlines. do you have any advice on how i could achieve that?
English

@eddort_dev @threejs Good intuition: remove the mirror
Also: you need to work on the draw calls, you could probably manage to go below 50, same for the tris with some LOD
The style looks really great, could you share more on how you achieved it?
English

@HngPhVnh192164 @threejs i also think the experiment wasn’t very successful, i’ll try other options
English

@eddort_dev @threejs honestly that mirror feedback in the HUD looks great — makes combat feel more connected. the risk is screen noise during chaos but the readability in this clip holds up
English

@VibeCreAI @threejs probably through experimentation, but AI won’t be able to create a good-looking HUD without a developer’s experience. i’d start with existing examples and define the project’s color palette and style
English

@eddort_dev @threejs how do you make those designed frame HUD? How should I prompt my AI to make those?
English

@lukeysworld111 @threejs thanks! yeah, for now the animations are just for testing. i’m still working on the environment
English

@eddort_dev @threejs would remove hud mirror and make character feet move a little faster or the distance travelled smaller
my 2 cents 😅
English

@eddort_dev @threejs Style looks great 👍 I would put char into idle state in the hud
English

@eddort_dev @threejs Looks great. I think the HUD character moving is distracting though. Maybe just keep it in idle animation there.

@alightinastorm I like the way games used to be made: people came up with their own development pipelines, built their own editors, worked around limitations in their own ways, and as a result made truly unique games. Right now feels like the perfect time to do exactly that
English

i told you
don't try to make money on engines, they're a commodity now thanks to threejs
robot@alightinastorm
there wasn't any game engines now i look and look around and there's so many engines i used to love engines i even had an engine, i thought i was an engine what if an engine made an engine about an engine said "man i love engines", that would be so game engine i love you like an engine loves its games
English

@henryblakedev @threejs Thanks! I’ve been working on this project for over 4 months now
English

@eddort_dev @threejs cool
how long has this taken you sofar to build?
English

@eddort_dev @threejs I like that cozy isometric perspective vibe.
English

@eddort_dev @threejs This looks nice! How are you dealing with map editing?
