The world doesn’t revolve around the US but Kpop sure as hell does revolve around Black American culture so acting as if cases where the Korean word for “you” (Niga) is used as a loophole to say Nigga doesn’t exist is one of the more hilarious conversations to come out of Twitter

Being black is a wild experience because you can call out the most blatant, in your face display of anti-blackness and non black people will treat you like you’re some kind of tinfoil hat wearing psych ward patient

You cannot be this obtuse when the lyric is literally “when that punk 니가 leaves you.” Translating it makes it “punk you leaves you,” which makes no sense. Two things can be true at once: 니가 means you and this artist is using it to try getting away with saying the n-word
@22_ScaryPenguin

‘Niga’ (니가) is simply the Korean word for “you” (2nd person subject). It has no relation to any racial slur, and meanings should not be misassigned based on phonetic similarity. Korean is a language with a 5,000-year history and has nothing to do with Black people.

well yes but saying "when that punk you leaves you" doesn't make much sense does it? nobody's saying the language in itself is racist, but the way it was used is incorrect and done solely for the purpose of saying the n-word without actually saying it
