DEEPLY 👏 & 👏 TRULY 👏 KNOWING 👏 THAT 👏 I 👏 BELONG 👏 IN 👏 THE 👏 WORLD 👏 MAKES 👏 ME 👏 FEEL 👏 SAFE 👏 TO 👏 BE 👏 PUBLICLY 👏 IGNORANT
ER!S will be at fivecamp 🦋@bstract_thot

@seconds_0 @SHL0MS can't speak for the other artist, but for me— deeply & truly knowing that i belong in the art world makes me feel safe to be publicly ignorant, & i think that was at least as much of a contributing factor as my time spent developing my eye & studying art history

@funplings the funny part is that you can put this directly into system prompt and now i'm laughing thinking about it going "ah, i wanna put a little sauce on it. but the user said specifically not to"

i've noticed that chatgpt has a tendency to try to insert stylistic flourishes unnecessarily, e.g. i was trying to figure out a good bar to take a girl on a date and I wanted it to be relatively cheap, so it responded, "Let me find you a bar where the cost doesn't become a silent third person at the table." like shut the fuck up. don't talk like that. i don't need you to add a little sauce on top of it. Just answer my question. talk to me like you're a robot because you are. don't try to convince me you have a soul

lifehack for party hosts: accidentally tell each guest that one of the other guests is secretly a billionaire. but don't say who.

an interesting thing i keep noticing about french is that oftentimes the grammatically correct way to say something is word-for-word the same as an unusually fancy way to say something in english, eg "i need a coffee" becomes "j'ai besoin d'un café" or "i have need of a coffee"

recent bread i made with my hands, featuring a gluten-free brioche that actually delighted and amazed me. it turns out store-bought gluten free bread is far inferior to homemade, which should have been unsurprising.

@VitreousSolid e.g. the dough will wrap up the hook (for dry doughs), or stick to the sides of the bowl (wetter doughs), so I have to coax it back into a good kneading state

@VitreousSolid for those use cases(small-medium batches of dough), yes. I will qualify that by saying that my smaller kitchenaid mixer has trouble with some bread / pizza doughs, so I have to babysit it a little bit, but i think that would happen with the larger capacity one as well.

vibecamp sounds extremely good. If it wasn't a matter of living outdoors over the weekend of maximum sunlight, I would highly prioritize flying out for this
