‼️🎙Rio Ferdinand speaks on the pride of Real Madrid and Barcelona in the UCL:
🗣"These two clubs thinks they are still in old glory era of them having the mindset of Romontada, they think this competition belongs to them. Look at what Arbeloa was saying, just pure arrogance, that the have done it before against Bayern.
These clubs are finally being put in their place because there are no referees favoring them anymore. It’s high time they realize it’s not their competition and stop acting like it is.
They are being humbled every year out in the champions league. They need to compete and show the fighting spirit and not depend on old glories cause that won’t earn them any trophy in years to come.

Anybody that listened to Chairman Zach Adedeji's speech at the opening of the new Nigerian Revenue Service (NRS) Headquarters today and still believes that the fiscal policies of the Federal Government and the Tinubu administration are not yielding fruits is either blind, deaf, dumb or all three.
I was astounded with the remarkable facts and figures he churned out with ease and I have since confirmed that all he said was true!
The new NRS building itself, which is at the centre and heart of Abuja, is not only a magnificent and modern state of the art edifice but also a remarkable example of good taste and architectural brilliance and matches any of the very best corporate structures in Hong Kong or Manhattan.
More importantly the achievements of this agency under Adedeji over the last almost three years are simply remarkable.
As the Senate President said in his speech he is indeed the "poster boy" and star of the Tinubu administration and I give thanks to God for him, his team and his staff who are not only always polite in the course of their duties but also highly professional.
Kudos goes to Mr. President for not only putting a round peg in a round hole by appointing Zach into such a sensitive and critical position but also for bestowing great confidence in him and giving him his full support the results of which are legion and are there for all to see.
Again I qoute the Senate President when he said "Zach is the only tax collector that I know or has ever heard of that everyone loves".
When he said this the whole hall burst into laughter and acknowledged it as being the truth.
I can confirm that too from the interaction I have had with him over the years ever since we first met.
He is a deeply religious man who fears God and is kind and compassionate to a fault.
He charms with his humility and he disarms with his firm and decisive disposition, his depth of knowledge in fiscal matters and his excellent manners whilst his diligence and competence in his chosen line of work speaks for itself. He is indeed a man for all seasons.
Keep up the great work aburo, thanks for the invitation to the commissioning and congrats on a great outing. You brought honor and pride not just to NRS and to Mr. President but to every right thinking and patriotic Nigerian.
May God continue to lead, use and guide you and may you continue to be a great blessing to our nation. 🙏

No, Rauf. The real scammers are the politicians inside the SPV called ADC.
My attention has been drawn to Rauf Aregbesola’s attack on the Tinubu administration at today's illegal elective convention of the ADC—a party of desperados and power mongers who, to date, have not articulated any credible plan for Nigeria. At the event, Aregbesola reportedly called on his former boss, mentor, and benefactor to resign, parroting the opposition’s warped narratives about the economy and orchestrated reports of terrorist attacks in some parts of the country.
Unfortunately, Aregbesola did not undertake any honest self-reflection on his own record in public office—as governor or as Minister of Interior. His eight years as governor of Osun State were characterised by unmitigated hardship for the people. Under his half-baked socialist policies, civil servants went unpaid for months, and those who were paid received only a fraction of their salaries. It is to Aregbesola’s infamy that Osun became known as a state receiving negative federal allocation and paying just 20 to 30 per cent of normal salaries. It was worse for pensioners in Aregbesola's Osun State. Many pensioners who relied on their meagre monthly payments died because they were not paid at all.
This is the same man who now has the effrontery to attack the Tinubu administration, despite his tenure in Osun leaving a legacy of unpaid salaries, financial recklessness, abandoned projects, and misguided policies that brought the state to ruin. His immediate successor, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, worked hard to clean up much of the mess left behind, and Governor Adeleke is still dealing with the consequences.
Aregbesola’s second line of attack against President Tinubu is equally hypocritical. As Minister of Interior under President Muhammadu Buhari, his tenure witnessed the highest number of jailbreaks in Nigeria’s history—including the infamous Kuje Prison escape in Abuja. During his four years, obtaining a Nigerian passport became a nightmarish process, and there were 15 major attacks on correctional facilities in Jos, Abolongo, Imo, Kabba, and Okitipupa, resulting in over 4,000 inmates escaping to join criminal elements.
For someone who failed so woefully to secure our correctional centres and uphold his duties between 2019 and 2023, it is ironic that Aregbesola now seeks to lecture others on insecurity. Maybe he thinks the entire Nigerian population suffers from amnesia.
Politicians may indulge in cheap talk and easy criticism, but Nigerians must never forget the abysmal records of Rauf and his fellow desperados. Nigerians must remain vigilant, lest power-hungry individuals with no programme attempt to hoodwink them. Because they have no credible programme, they are weaponising the isolated terrorist attacks, as if the problem started from this administration.
The Tinubu administration has never shied away from acknowledging that policy reforms have brought unintended consequences, impacting the most vulnerable. However, over the last three years, the government has introduced numerous relief measures to mitigate these effects—including increasing the minimum wage by over 100 per cent, making cash transfers to the vulnerable, assisting small-scale enterprises, and reducing inflation to less than 15 per cent from over 25 per cent at the start of the reforms, with food prices crashing. The government will continue to implement policies to alleviate hardship and support the most vulnerable in our society.
On security, the Tinubu administration has been supporting the military, the DSS and the intelligence agencies. The government has been investing in more and more equipment for the military and has sought assistance from foreign governments to battle the inherited scourge of terrorism and banditry.
The administration's Renewed Hope Programme is on track and has received global praise. We have seen the effects of how it has increased GDP and our foreign reserves, made our country the toast of investors, and made our stock market bullish and prosperous.
No, Rauf, the Renewed Hope Agenda is not a scam. The real scammers are the politicians gathered inside the SPV called ADC.

This story is kind of scary
I need your honest advice because a 10-year friendship is about to end over this.
My close friend has a daughter who is just 16 years old. My own daughter is also 16.
Recently, my friend's daughter got pregnant. It was a big blow to everyone, but my friend decided that instead of being ashamed, she was going to celebrate the baby.
Last Saturday, my friend organized a very big, loud Baby Shower for her 16-year-old.
She invited all the girls in their circle and even bought a special 'Chief Bridesmaid type of outfit for my daughter to wear, since our daughters have been best friends since they were small.
I refused to let my daughter go.
I told my friend plainly I cannot allow my 16-year-old daughter to attend a party where a teenage pregnancy is being celebrated with cake, music, and gifts.
I don't want my daughter to sit there and start thinking that getting pregnant at her age is a trend or something that brings a big party.
I want her to know that at 16, her only focus should be her books
My friend is now livid. She is calling me names and saying I am judging her daughter.
She said my daughter is her daughter's only support system and that by stopping her from coming, I am being w!¢k€d and stigmatizing a child who is already in a difficult situation.
I told her she can visit her friend quietly at home another time, but she is NOT attending a public celebration for a 16-year-old's pregnancy.
My friend has blocked me on WhatsApp and told our mutual friends that I am a hypocrite.
Please, am I wrong? Should I have let my daughter go I am only trying to protect my daughter from this kind of influence
