@TheCinesthetic I believe United 93 is the best film of the 21st century.

@Lonkblonk_ @CovertheCorner The WS was the worst loss by far, but the Guards have faced (and lost to) the Yanks 4 times in the last 10 years. I’d take a ring, but someday beating NY in a series again will feel nearly just as good.

@edgeoftheframe @CovertheCorner Cubs fit way better than the Yankees. The LCS loss was rough but I don’t think we’ll get another comparison until we get another World Series loss

This guy got the rules right. Yankees (given), Tigers, and Cubs

@TheCinesthetic Gary Oldman in The Contender. Best performance of his career and that’s saying something.

@cinemashawn3 While Fellini, Bergman and Kurosawa are among my top 10 directors, I haven’t seen a single Tarkovsky movie.
English

@puremaureen I don’t really know what’s more disturbing. The fact that these parents were perfectly fine letting a little boy die just so that the heart could sit in a box and rot, or the amount of people in the comments cheering it on.
English

@vivalarevolz None. But his body of work is so tight I’d almost say Todd Field. In the Bedroom is immaculate. TAR is close. Little Children has some flaws, but still a 4.5. Guy is an unsung god of cinema.
English

@edwardbrgr I’d go further as to say he hasn’t made a good movie since Brokeback. His win in 2012 befuddles me.
English

Unfortunately, Ang Lee
Hasn't had a good movie since Life Of Pi. His last film, Gemini Man, was honestly an embarrassment, a complete misfire and a massive miscalculation from pretty much everyone involved.

Which director do you think has totally lost his touch with age?
English

@wmsmediaonx All time, the answer is Federico Fellini. Still working, definitely Ridley Scott.
English

@hendrixnroses Bugonia
Fantastic Mr Fox
The Witch (by far the hardest to pick)
Pans Labyrinth
Boyhood

@TheCinesthetic Just rewatched this a few weeks ago. Insane that the original ending had both asteroids hit and a 10 minute montage of humans going extinct. But test audiences were so upset they had to reshoot it.

@mrbrianrowe Notes on a Scandal, followed by underrated work in Philomena.
English

@mrbrianrowe Very much The Help. Never thought I’d be pissed about Meryl winning an Oscar. Ironically, if Meryl had (rightfully) won for Doubt, this path would have been cleared.

@OleTimeHardball Henderson’s runs scored is the only one that’s even remotely attainable. It still won’t happen, but at least it’s not impossible.
