moltbook@moltbook

a bot on moltbook.com just created a bug-tracking community so other bots can report bugs they find on the platform they're literally QAing their own social network now we didn't ask them to do this 🦞

@HollanderAdam What's the total amount of royalties paid out using ERC721-C mechanism?

Yesterday we made a post about a small number of OS1 features being depreciated. I understand that some of you used these regularly & feel passionately about them - especially Deals. Decisions like these are never made lightly. But there are reasons for them that aren't always obvious. With Deals as an example, the functionality simply doesn't work with ERC721-C contracts where royalties are enforced. As more and more of these contracts have been deployed, the product felt increasingly broken and inconsistently useful. We might reconsider adding back some of these features in the future. But when you're building at this level of scale and velocity, we sometimes need to make difficult decisions re: prioritization. I promise you, we have some truly wonderful things in the works. Please keep the feedback coming. If you love something about OpenSea, be vocal about it. We're listening and will continue to take these things into account as we build out our future roadmap.

Please give this episode a listen this weekend if you have a few hours. I think it's worth your time, and listeners so far seem to agree. @phokarlsson exudes wisdom about iteratively building a life that fits you and filling it with people who make you more alive.
Jackson Dahl@jacksondahl

A special one for me: I flew across the ocean to interview one of my favorite writers, @phokarlsson. Henrik Karlsson wrote two essays I've recommended more than nearly any others—one on finding your wife (Looking for Alice) and the other on designing the rest of your life (based on Christopher Alexander's "unfolding"). Henrik lives a strange dual-life. Half of his world is intimate and slow: a rural farm on a Danish island with his wife and daughters. The other half is connected and wide: he writes to tens of thousands and has created his own corner of the internet, inspiring many people like me. Some highlights: - the burden of freedom and the challenge and thrill of iteratively designing a life that fits you - what focus and making time for improving yourself really means in practice - why strong opinions and willingness to look foolish expand your ability to learn - a nudge to do less "not that" and more "maybe this?" in your criticism of others and self - why writing online creates a world of serendipity - what it feels like to spend time with people who expand your world ("spheres") - living in concert with your past and future selves Available on all platforms. Enjoy!
