150 days ago I dropped a six-figure agency and moved to SF to build my first startup. Yesterday, we were accepted into @fdotinc. @rexan_wong and I shipped what we thought was the ‘sexiest’ product imaginable and beta tested it with ~30 creators and brands. They liked a lot of parts of it but didn’t LOVE one thing. That was the problem. After working with brands like Shopify, Meta, and Adobe I saw firsthand how broken the creative workflow really is. So we did the hard thing and killed it to rebuild around a real pain. Over the holidays, we spent 2 weeks in Hong Kong working out of random coffee shops, coworking spaces figuring out what people actually needed. We rebuilt everything and customer sentiment completely shifted: An 8-figure consumer brand came onboard before the product was even finished. I’m insanely grateful for Founders, Inc. for being our first believers. Back to work.

Excited to launch WillBot, the first AI performance marketing agent that can actually WATCH your ads. Most AI marketing tools suck. They lock you into generic workflows, lack context, and rely on "industry" data. Built on Gemini 2.5 Pro and Claude 3.7, WillBot changes everything: 1. Syncs instantly with your ad platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google, etc.) 2. Watches your ads, analyzes performance, and generates actionable insights 3. Operates through natural language—just ask it anything, right from Slack It’s like having a media buyer, creative strategist, and data analyst available 24/7 in your pocket. With a single prompt, WillBot can: 🔎Analyze 1,000s of hooks, bodies, creators 📈 Generate detailed charts & performance reports 📝Craft unlimited high-converting scripts in any language 👀 Monitor ad accounts and notify you instantly about performance shifts We’ve already analyzed >$100M+ in ad spend with WillBot. To celebrate the launch, we’re sharing a FREE creative report including: - 50 proven hooks across industries - Optimal Meta & TikTok account structures - Access to our database of 1,000+ vetted creators Reply "WillBot" below and I'll send you the report!

We did it :') Our churn rate is finally in the single digits! If you have a B2C AI SaaS, you know how much of a battle this was Huuuge shoutout to the Jenni team ❤️ Now...can we hit <8%? 🤔

We have literally spent years trying to get our churn rate below 10% and we're finally close 🥳 B2C AI SaaS typically have 20%+ monthly churn, so I'm very proud of the team for continuing to improve product and increasing retention! Maybe can hit less than 10% by end of 2024 🤠

There’s an alarming change in the algorithm 🧪that nobody’s talking about…. “Viral” creators & brands are now flopping because of: → Not having a niche: know your exact audience → Low effort content: low quality vids don’t get shown to followers → Consistency: barely post

The raw reality of why your content sucks: you’re too selfish Creators, founders, and marketers keep focusing on what they can GAIN: - Followers, views, customers, etc. And it translates in their marketing strategy If you just genuinely care about your community you’ll win

I don’t care what anyone says You need to treat your content like a business… You can be a creator, brand, or founder. It’s all the exact same principles: → Keep up with macro / micro trends → Learn by doing & testing → Put your customer (the viewer) first

you’re not posting quality content to convert viewers to raving fans… if you aren’t asking yourself 3 simple questions: → WHO am I creating for? → WHY am I making content? → HOW do I want to impact my viewer? answer these first THEN you can identify content formats ✶

This morning I woke up and noticed the consumer app founder community is now #1 on @whop for the software community category. Stoked af about the growth. But the metric I’m most obsessed with: retention. We have 95%+ retention and I want it to keep it close to 100% as we thoughtfully grow. This will happen as long as every member feels they're getting insights & connections that are continuously giving them an edge for their startup. How I intend make that happen: 1) Highly opinionated member curation I want to bring together these two personas: - internet money discord kids, scrappy, deep in alpha, stacking MRR - ambitious, vc-backed, legit, serious And I'm trying to NOT attract these personas: - wholesome indie hacker small side projects - bland corporate b2b tech - playful but unserious zoomer consumer tech Price has already increased 4x and the community will be application-only. 2) Rigorous moderation I currently read every single discord message, and every day I delete messages that I feel could be low-signal for the majority of the group. Moderation isn’t just removing bad messages, it also includes nudging member behavior over time to add more value to each other (e.g. increasing awareness of FAQs, chat best practices, encouraging sharing, etc) Leading a top 50 clan in clash royale in middle school has prepared me for this moment lol 3) Information routing I believe in chat-based communities > forum-based communities. At least when optimizing for alpha-gained-per-month. But this format comes with tradeoffs (founders are busy, and don’t want to miss out on alpha that might get lost in a super-active chat). How to solve— each day my schedule consists of talking to community members 1:1, synthesizing feedback, and then making changes to the processes that make the most relevant stuff show up for the right people (e.g. more FAQ/documentation, better onboarding, personalized introductions, alerts for relevant info) — I’ve been a part of a lot of online communities over the past few years. Many sacrifice quality for scale and I’m trying my best to go in the complete opposite direction. It’s been very fun to be able to incorporate things I’ve learned watching people like @thesamparr, @AaronSpivak2, @eriktorenberg build their thriving founder communities. Excited to keep building this. Community work means I get to spend time with founders and be inspired every day. Gives me a lot of energy, which keeps me going. Rooting for all of you 🚀

Over 39,000 creators on TikTok have >1 million followers… The value of followers is no longer as important as it was 4 years ago It’s now about: 1. Building a “brand” 2. Community THAT’S WHY advertising dollars are moving to smaller creators & UGC: Engagement > Followers
