Today the Commission held a coffee morning to bid a final farewell to Charles, our interim Chief Executive and much cherished colleague. Best wishes as you move on to pastures new, we will miss you greatly! ✨

@rblackqc @MacqueenHector @scotlawcom Fascinating! It was indeed 1976, 7 June, I think, so the anniversary falls during the week of the move to PH. One wonders what the appropriate number of windows was?!

@MacqueenHector @scotlawcom @edin_charles I was on the legal staff when Commission moved in from Old College (?1976). Solicitor to Sec of State for Scotland (civil service head of legal staff) visited shortly thereafter. On entering my office his comment was "You have too many windows for your rank."

A last visit to HMS Causewayside before @scotlawcom moves out tomorrow. Thanks to @edin_charles for finding a last pile of paper associated with me in the building and retrieving it for me!
