I’m 20…
working a 9–5…
and building my personal brand at the same time.
Started from:
Now:
→ Monetized
→ 1.1+ followers
But here’s the truth…
I made $0.
So I documented everything on YouTube
→ from 0 to monetization
→ what actually works
→ what nobody tells you
If you’re trying to build online…
this is for you.

This is how I lost $4k this month.
First of all, I’m not going to mention any brand names because I don’t want any controversy.
Around 5–6 months ago, I switched from being a video editor to a motion designer. Honestly, I loved making motion videos. For a few months, work was going great, my Twitter was growing, and everything felt on track.
But for the last 2 months, nothing has gone right.
Last month, I didn’t get a single client. I literally made $0. I knew dry phases happen, so I ignored it and kept working on concepts, improving skills, and staying consistent.
Then this month came.
I signed 3 projects worth around $4k total. I went all in. Gave them my full energy, full effort, and my best work.
And I got scammed by all three.
That broke me.
No savings. No backup money. I live separately from my parents and manage everything on my own. Getting hit like this mentally and financially crushed me.
motion design projects usually pay well, that’s why I had stopped doing regular video editing like YouTube content.
and if you depend only on one-time motion projects, your workflow and cash flow can collapse fast, imo
But now I understand I need both.
I need recurring editing retainers + motion projects on the side.
So if you need an editor who helps grow channels and brands, feel free to reach out.
As soon as I close 2 retainers, I won’t be taking new clients for some time.
And the biggest lesson I learned this month:
Never start work without advance payment.
I trusted all three clients, started without upfront payment, and paid the price for it.
Tomorrow is a new month.
I’m leaving this bad luck here. I don’t want to carry this month’s pain, memories, or losses into the next one.
Now it’s time to work, pay bills, and rebuild.
Thanks for reading my rant.

Cool animation feels obvious
But only after you see it
A card landing with weight
A menu opening with intent
A transition that doesn’t rush
It feels right
because it behaves right
