Heavy traffic has been reported @Buwama along Kampala-Masaka highway following a road crash @JaliaCity involving 4 vehicles (Fuso, trailer, Sinotruck carrying sand & a Fuso box body). The road has since been cleared @PoliceUg & traffic is now moving slowly. However the major cause of the extended jam is driver indiscipline, motorists creating unauthorized lanes instead of waiting which worsens congestion & makes traffic control difficult even after clearance. Motorists are urged to remain patient, keep to their lanes & follow guidance from traffic officers. Movement has resumed.

FRIDAY NIGHTS: WHEN WE OWED YOU NOTHING! There was a time in the 80s, when #Kampala weekends had a clear destination, and they still do - and if your stars aligned, your shoes pointed straight to Chez Joseph on Kimathi Avenue. Opposite @KCCAUG , the place stood like a nightclub and a social sorting hat rolled into one. You didn’t just enter - you qualified. Money helped. Connections helped more. Confidence? That was your wildcard. This was the most popular hangout joint for the youth back then. Inside, the formula was sacred: blue, red, yellow bulbs… a mirror ball spinning like it had secrets… and at the far end, the DJ box - where DJ Telematch (Mukiibi) conducted the night like a high priest of vinyl. When he dropped a track, it was no longer a dance floor -it was a declaration, like he did one night when he dropped 'Jack the Groove' by Raze. But before all that glory and celebration0? Survival. Because not all of us arrived fully funded. Some of us passed by the shadows of the old Ministry of Labour building - near that legendary old abandoned trench - now Workers House, that looked deep enough to swallow your future - where a quiet economist of the night sold K. Yes, Kasese (Waragi). A glass. Maybe a Fanta or a Mini would set you on the path to happiness. Add lime. Suddenly, the world made sense -and more importantly, you had courage capital. Then came “Footsubishi” - our hybrid transport system. Meanwhile, the chosen few rolled in -borrowed or “temporarily reassigned” father’s car - packed like a matatu of ambition. Driver brings the ride. One friend brings the entrance fee. Another negotiates with the kanyama at the gate. Teamwork made the nightlife work. Inside? Ah. You bought one beer at 11pm - and nursed it like an investment portfolio till 1am. Holding that bottle wasn’t thirst. It was status. You danced not because you had much - but because, for those hours, you lacked nothing. Then the morning came, uninvited but inevitable. You walked back up Kimathi Avenue, eyes red, spirit undefeated, past the early church goers, the saints at Christ the King Church. They stared. You stared back. Under your breath: “Why are you looking at me?” Their eyes said “Bambi.” Yours replied -without words - Do I.O.U? Not today. Because Friday night had cleared all debts. At least until next weekend. A GRATEFUL MAN BORN IN A MISUNDERSTOOD MONTH March has a branding problem. It walks into the calendar like a well-dressed suspect -smiling, but with a reputation. Ever since the 'Ides of March' -when Julius Caesar met his famously overcommitted colleagues -we’ve treated the entire month like it owes us an apology. But must one Roman boardroom ambush define the whole season? I refuse. Because long before daggers, mid-March was about life -picnics, laughter, dancing by the river. Proper enjoyment. The kind where even your village uncle starts stories that have no ending. And then there’s my own March. A month that once tried to quietly escort me off stage -March 16, last year, a thrombectomy. A near curtain call. But here I am -alive, alert, and still asking unnecessary questions. If anything, March did not curse me -it clarified me. Then we go back -1969. What a year! Apollo 11 Moon Landing told mankind, “You can leave Earth and still come back with stories.” #ArtemissII follows suit -God willing, on April 1, 2026. Sesame Street and Scooby-Doo was teaching us life before life could teach us itself. And somewhere between moon dust and childhood wonder, I arrived - March 30. No headlines. No trumpet. But history adjusted itself, just slightly. From rhyming “Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree” in my primary school days, to singing to Pat Shange’s Anytime Babe swagger, to humming today’s amapiano Hai Wena Mani - my life has been a moving soundtrack. Sometimes off-key, sometimes on fire, but always playing. Nkadiye? Perhaps. But still capable. Still dancing when the right song drops. Even Elvis Presley failed at golf and still walked away with a hit. That’s life. You swing, you miss, you compose. So no -I will not let #March intimidate me with ancient gossip. I choose gratitude. I choose to see a month that gave me breath, rhythm, curiosity, scars, stories -and the audacity to laugh through it all. Beneath all the wit, the wanderings, the questions, the noise -there is simply a man, deeply grateful for life, and hopeful for many more verses. Many would not beware the ides of March but a Tiger “Wood”. Now take care of April first… #MarchMadness #Uganda #MarchHappiness #Birthdays #IdesofMarch #March30

Everyone is using Claude. Only 1% are actually leveraging it. The difference isn’t access. It’s the prompt. I tested 1000+ prompts. Refined them. Broke them. Rebuilt them. That’s how I moved into that 1%. Today I generate $2,000–$4,000/month Just by giving Claude better instructions. Most people blame the AI. The real problem is vague prompts. So I’m giving away my Top 21 Claude Mega Prompts — copy-paste version. Universal. Tested. Built for real results. If you know how to instruct AI properly, you gain unfair leverage. How to get it: • Follow (so I can DM you) • Comment “prompt” • Like + RT Miss a step = no access

For Sarah, the lights always seemed to find her -even before anyone touched the switch. She would tilt her head, raise that mischievous eyebrow, let the half-smile appear, then drop her line: “Kiki?” with full attitude. Just like that, we were in Scene One, whether we were ready or not. I am no @Namasagali, but like many Ugandans I grew up on the myth and magic. Those students would descend on the National Theatre and turn it into their personal stage -elegant, daring, draped in that unmistakable red. Namasagali, we were told, wasn’t designed for the shy, the shaky, or the mumbling. It was a training ground for the bold and imaginative, the ones who could face both applause and adversity with the same steady smile. Watching Sarah, you didn’t need to see her school ID to know which tribe she belonged to. She carried that Namasagali spark everywhere she went. A casual drop-in at someone’s home could easily become a full production -laughter ricocheting off the walls, side comments flying, inside jokes running, and then, when you least expected it, a moment of disarming tenderness. Wherever she stood, that became the front of the stage. On Tuesday, in Kampala, our leading lady made her final exit. She has stepped off the stage, and the silence she leaves behind is loud. The banter feels unfinished, the laughter now comes with a lump in the throat. And yet, what a show she gave us with the time she had. From the tributes at St. Stephen’s Church Kisugu earlier today, and at Global Evangelical Church in Billerica, Massachusetts yesterday, one thing rang clear: Sarah stitched herself into our stories in ways we will not forget. To the Oteba and Etyang families: webale nyo for sharing Sarah Imai Oteba with the rest of us, and for opening your doors so widely that friends became family. To her children: be courageous, walk tall. Your mum was a whole production; her script continues in you. Sarah will be laid to rest in Mela, Tororo, on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The curtains may have fallen -but in our hearts, the house lights stay on for her. #RIPSarahImaiOteba

Yesterday, I invited all the ophthalmic clinicians in Karamoja for a hands-on training on slit lamp use. We had a good learning experience. A slit lamp to an eye care worker is like a stethoscope to a physician. I took this photo at day break. I looked like a rich woman, “In Nancy’s voice” 😛 We go again today!

As I was brushing my teeth yesterday, I wondered what I needed to do for my birthday. Monday, being a very busy clinic day, I knew it was going to be nearly impossible to have any breathing space. But then I remembered these 3 girls: Winnie, the salonist who ensures that my hair is always looking beautiful; Charity, the tailor who makes very beautiful Kjong skirts for me; Naome, who sells the best secondhand throw-ons and my heart went straight to them. I love spending time with them. Their smiles are so genuine— their lifestyles so simple. They crack my ribs with laughter. I had to fix time to share a meal with them. And as expected, the quick lunch break with them made all the difference ❤️❤️. And they surprised me with a cake! What I had planned as a simple lunch became marvelously complex 😂 As we ate and cracked jokes, I couldn’t help but reflect on how much they make my life in Moroto easy. I’m surely blessed to have them. Thank you, Mount MOROTO hotel for making this happen. You’re manager is always so kind and timely

Last Dance on Sentamu Road: An Ode to DJ Bush Baby! Some nights in the late 2000s, Sentamu Road in Luzira would hum with quiet rhythm. Up from a pub we dubbed "Acholi", I would make my way home at night to Ekirunga Courts where I lived, - dodging trenches, potholes, scanning shadows, sometimes humming the last tune from "You Will Never Walk Alone" after a premier league watching party at our hangout. And every now and then, I’d cross paths with a figure I didn’t need to greet to recognize: Michael Owor Benjamin aka @djbushbaby . He lived nearby. We weren’t friends, but we shared geography. And indirectly, perhaps, a bit of the same pulse. We never spoke. Just bypassed each other like two ships in the night - one carrying -who knows, a hangover, the other carrying history. Because I knew who he was. We all did. The Don of the UTAKE nights at Steak Out. The East Africa Radio maestro who fused #Uganda, #Kenya, and #Tanzania into one groovy frequency. If you heard “Number 5, climbing up the charts this week in Dar, Nairobi, and Kampala…” - you knew Bush Baby was on. He was radio royalty, but not the pompous kind. He curated culture. From @earadiofm @eastafricatv UG Central to @882SanyuFM, @UrbanTV_ug, @XfmUG and @radionxt. Bush Baby wasn’t just behind the mic. He was the mic. Our soundtracker. Our vibe architect. A branding genius who wore #EastAfrica on his sleeve and a beat in his step. He was hurting, though. Quietly. Pelvic fractures. Surgeries. Losses. Even last week, when he posted about Cedric Babu’s fight for a new heart, or when he lost his beloved dog - he left clues. And then, just three days ago, he posted what would be his final sign-off - dancing with his sister, captioned “Still feels like my last dance.” It was. Today, the news came in like a bad remix - #DJBushBaby was found dead, allegedly in his studio in Entebbe. The beat stopped. But oh, what a beat he gave us. This Saturday, there was meant to be an “Ultimate 4th Floor Party” in @GardensNajjera. Let it still happen. But let it happen for him. For the legend. For the man who never needed to shout to be heard. DJ Bush Baby, I wish I had said hello on one of those nights. But now, let this be my long overdue hi... and goodbye. May you mix the clouds with the stars, and drop one final track for the angels. Rest well, Sound General. The dancefloor up there just got an upgrade. cc @kanyindo @rudende #RIPBushBaby #eastafricatv
