@Yankeelibrarian You are spot on @Yankeelibrarian. The yanks are a poorly put together team (thank you Cashman), they can’t hit, and Boone is not a very good manager. All of these things are indisputably true.
English

Brian Cashman hiring Aaron Boone to be Yankees skipper was a stroke of genius.
He found the best guy to take the heat off him for losing streaks and gut-wrenching losses. It’s as if there’s some magic lineup combination that Boone is expected to make, which is going to make aging vets with balky backs hit all of a sudden.
You could put Bruce Bochy in or dig up Casey Stengel, and the results would be the same, the way the results were the same for Joe Girardi after 2009. No championships and not even a sniff of World Series.
The fact is, outside of Aaron Judge and Carlos Rodon, nothing was done to change this lineup. They added Anthony Volpe, and it took Josh Donaldson’s body breaking down to add Oswald Peraza finally. That’s been all the significant changes to the lineup, and I’m supposed to shake my fist over Boone getting a little surly on a podcast, LOL. (Unless Boone is on a true crime or pro wrestling podcast, I’m not sure how what he says is supposed to effect my life?)
Hell, I don’t think Boone is the right guy for this job, but his being turned into a meme is just classic deflection for the issues at hand. The Yankees are bad. Some podcast and postgame quotes are all noise, and even if the perfect things were said with the right demeanor in all these instances, they still can’t hit. There isn’t a manager alive who’ll make them hit as presently constructed. Until changes are made, this is all on the GM, and there isn’t a person who’ll convince me otherwise. Highest payroll in team history, and THIS is the product?
The fact is, the way things have gone, Boone will be the next piece of meat thrown into the wild, they’ll play up Miguel Rojas’ status as an Alou after not mentioning that fact the last two years, and every runner at third with less than two outs will still be stranded every time.
