More incoherence. Plus - the Liberals “condemn in the strongest terms Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting energy facilities across the Gulf region….” but WON’T condemn in strongest terms the US & Israeli missile attacks that STARTED the conflict?

To call it “anti-Semitic” when a body rightfully moves to divest financial support from a political regime that is currently committing genocide and war crimes, is intellectually lazy, wrong, and ignorant. All Canadians should support divesting financially from Israel at this time. I support the Jewish community and Jewish people everywhere. I want synagogues to be safe, everywhere. A political regime and its policies, are not synonymous with the Jewish people. It is very dishonest for the @BCConservCaucus to be calling divestment from Israel anti-Semitic. Canada has a proud history of opposing war crimes, genocide, and military regimes such as this. I support the B.C. Teacher’s Union in their motion, and call on all B.C. and Canadian bodies to boycott, divest and sanction the state of Israel. #bcpoli

🚨 Corruption 🚨 🚨 Corruption 🚨 🚨 Corruption 🚨 Do you guys remember Trevor Milton? The CEO of a truck manufacturing company that was supposed to make the first fully electric semi-truck? He built what was supposed to be a functional prototype but instead shared a video of the non-working prototype, which was simply rolled downhill by gravity after being towed uphill—with the camera angle hiding the slope to fake motion. He collected hundreds of millions in investments, which were subsequently worthless to working-class investors. He was, of course, indicted and convicted. He was sentenced to prison and ordered to pay restitution in the hundreds of millions of dollars… …until Donald Trump pardoned him. But why did Trump pardon a known scam artist? It could be because of his multimillion-dollar donations to the Trump campaign, or maybe the fact that he hired Pam Bondi’s brother as his attorney. Now, not only did he serve very little (if any) jail time, but he also doesn’t have to pay back the money he scammed. ALSO, he just launched a new startup—with no working product—again.

Canada condemns in the strongest terms Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting energy facilities across the Gulf region, including the recent strike on Qatar’s Ras Laffan liquefied natural gas complex. Canada is equally appalled by the deliberate targeting of oil and gas infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other Gulf countries. We will continue to engage actively with Gulf partners and the international community in support of de-escalation.

@jonathan2hale @Maks_NAFO_FELLA War math is supply and attrition. US air defense success costs 100 times more than Iran offense. Inflation will rip and everyone will be poorer to distract the US public from the pedo OTUS in the Epstein files.

This argument keeps coming up, and it’s based on the wrong comparison. It’s not $3M versus $70k. It’s interceptor cost versus expected damage avoided. If a $70k drone can impose hundreds of millions in losses, then a multi-million dollar intercept is economically rational. Air defense is a loss-prevention problem, not a unit-cost comparison.

🇺🇦❗️“I have no idea what the allies have been looking at for four years while we have been at war,” — Ukrainian military instructors who went to help counter Iranian missiles and UAVs are shocked by the way the US shoots down “Shaheds,” writes The Times – First, the Persian Gulf countries launched as many as 8 Patriot missiles at one (!) enemy target, each costing more than $3 million. – They often used a ship-based SM-6 missile, worth about $6 million, to shoot down a “Shahed” worth $70,000. – The US and its allies often literally “shine” their radars like beacons — without proper camouflage. Ukrainians work differently: mobile radars constantly change positions. For example: just three (!) cheap Shahed drones destroyed the AN/FPS-132 early warning radar (~$1 billion) and another air defense radar (~$300 million), which had been standing in one place for months and were perfectly “readable” from satellites.

We are all going to get dragged into this new crusade, like it or not, because American Christo hubris and Israel’s rabid rabis have cut the supply chain for half the world’s food supply and fuel. I know it’s controversial, but at the risk of repeating myself, THE RAPTURE IS A TERRIBLE BASIS FOR PUBLIC POLICY! Harper flashback.

It is in Canada’s interests to militarily support an end to Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. This would reaffirm the credibility of western military alliances, and slow down global nuclear proliferation. My latest for @nationalpost 💡 nationalpost.com/opinion/adam-z…

Europe told Trump and Vance, clearly and seriously, that Russia’s war against Ukraine and its hybrid warfare campaign across the continent represents the greatest security threat Europe has faced since 1945. Europe said this as a NATO ally. As a partner of seven decades. As a bloc that has housed American bases, funded American adventures, and sent its sons to die in American wars without much complaint. Trump and Vance looked at this and said: not our problem. It’s happening on your continent. We have important things to attend to. The important things turned out to be nothing. There were no important things. There was golf, there was television, and there was a remarkable amount of time spent being angry about things on the internet. Then, approximately some months later, the same administration announced it intended to seize Greenland. A sovereign territory. From a NATO ally. By force if necessary. So to summarise: defending Europe from an actively invading nuclear power is not America’s problem. Illegally annexing a Danish island in the Arctic is apparently a matter of urgent national interest. Now. If anyone in the MAGA universe is sitting there expecting Europe to provide diplomatic cover, logistical support, intelligence sharing, or a single sympathetic press release for whatever America is currently doing in the Middle East, I have some news for you. You told us you weren’t our allies. We were listening. You don’t get to turn the alliance on and off depending on which direction the aggression is pointing. That is not how it works. That is not how any of this works. Europe will not be helping. Europe will be watching. You made that bed. Enjoy it. Stay connected, Follow Gandalv @Microinteracti1

I just sat through the entire 2-hour and 23-minute @joerogan Experience interview with @PierrePoilievre you don't have to. ⏱️ Yes, I survived the deep dives into Russian kettlebell history, 90s kickboxing, and Bobby Orr's knees to extract the actual political substance. Between the MMA tangents, Poilievre dropped a bunch of claims. Some are actually spot-on (yes, it happens even with Poilievre), some are missing massive context, and a couple directly contradict his own record. I’m bringing the receipts. 🧾 Over the next 5 posts, we are going to reality-check: 🔍 The Top 3 biggest testable claims 🩴 2 major political flip-flops Buckle up. Thread below 🧵👇

We don’t create legislation around anecdotal evidence, the most extreme situations or the one-offs. While you feel that MAID was good for your mother, that doesn’t negate the fact that it’s being abused, pushed and used without proper safeguards. No longer is it a tool for rare instances as it once was touted to be. I support a government willing to make these difficult stances.

My step mother used MAiD. I don’t know if she would have died within a year but I know she would have lost capacity to consent, advanced consent being also removed by this bill, I do know she was in pain every single moment of her life. I know her disease was going to kill her slowly and brutally. I know MAiD was what she wanted and the most peaceful way to go. This bill is not reflecting the reality of those who are dying from debilitating illness.

Alberta introduces bill stipulating that only those likely to die of natural causes within a year would be eligible for medical assistance in dying, better known as MAID. timescolonist.com/national-news/…

In 2015, Disney called 250 IT workers into a meeting. They thought they were getting bonuses. Disney told them they were being replaced by workers flown in from India on H-1B visas, and if they didn't spend the next 90 days training those replacements, they'd lose their severance. Leo Perrero testified before Congress about it. Appeared on 60 Minutes. "Someone was flown in from another country to sit at my same desk and take over what I was doing. It was the most humiliating thing I've ever gone through in my life." Two workers sued Disney, HCL, and Cognizant for colluding to illegally displace American workers. Courts dismissed it. Lord Greville Janner was accused of abusing multiple young boys during his time as a Member of Parliament. The British establishment - including police and politicians - formed a protective ring around Janner when the accusations emerged. Tony Blair nominated him for a life peerage and he became Lord Janner of Braunstone in October 1997. Greville Janner was a proud Jew who once said about Holocaust nazis: "I don't care what bloody age they are. No concessions to age or the time that has passed should be made for justice." Greville Janner did not apply the same logic to allegations of child abuse and died without being tried. Here's how the Estabishment protected him from scrutiny.

We are prepared to defend our victory that found the Emergencies Act was used unlawfully and the regulations were unconstitutional, should the Supreme Court grant leave.
