@Justblaze42 @alicekeeler That is very true—but generally speaking, cost of living in those areas are higher than the more rural, right?

@edpuzzlesarah @alicekeeler NC base pay for teachers is terrible. However, the four or five bigger districts (Wake, Mecklenburg, Guilford, Forsyth , etc) pay a lot better because of local supplements.

omg, just looked up a teacher salary schedule. Where I would be at on the payscale is where the base pay is for where I currently am. 😳

@megdscott @alicekeeler Oh yeah, we have fam in MS and almost moved there—but the teacher pay was a huge deterrent. I hate that for y’all!

Yesterday was spent at @TPS_501 with @travistrue and @michaelpsoria ! 3 in person PDs and a lovely KS bbq dinner! (And somehow managed to get no pictures of it!) Today I head to @WichitaUSD259 to spend some time with @jessicalea2 and her @EIChargers 🤩
