STRONG disagree here. Way too few arrangers make use of both “up the neck” (in gtr terms, not anatomical) & kbd-style bass lines, both of which tend to be not just rangier (same floor, higher ceiling) but also more fun & engaging for both singer & listener. Plus they sound dope.
