@educmcgrawkm Hi Katie! In my opinion I believe using one piece of technology per lesson plan is plenty. Anything more and the prep time and overall activity can take longer and become a little complex!

Hi everyone! In your opinion, how much is "too much" technology in the classroom? How can we balance using technology with traditional, hands on activities? #elemchat

@KierstynFrankl2 @TeachBloom I just made an activity introducing coding to 1st graders and I simply introduced the concept of directions on paper. It was like a bingo game but you had to make a sequence to get to a picture on it. Sometimes simpler can be better!
English

@TeachBloom I also struggle with this! It's difficult to incorporate this when it feels unfamiliar even to me. Hour of code is a great website where students can learn about coding but I don't have a lot of ideas on how to incorporate coding into other subject areas/lessons. #elemchat

Does anyone have suggestions for utilizing code within lessons? I've been struggling. #elemchat

@mslenastephens @TeachBloom Sometime's it can help breaking the concept down into more than one activity/idea! And then start building it onto eachother and reintroduce it to the.

@TeachBloom Ive also been struggling with this. I'm wanting younger students and I am not sure how to incorporate a difficult concept like this. #elemchat
